And now for me to spoil the joke. The actual episode Tails is just cringing because he's doing the typical little kid reaction of going "Yuck!!" whenever anyone kisses. Tails and Sally weren't technically related, but he always called her "Aunt" Sally, since she was something of a surrogate parent to him.
