Nintendo has always had Samus displaying her lady certification. Whenever you'd be the game fast she'd take off some or all of her suit. Sure it was sort of objectifying but it more so played to the idea of "What!? That character is a woman!? I didn't know." So you could actually say it's empowering as well objectifying to women. Back in the day though people had a harder time fapping to 8 pixel clevage, if they realized it was clevage.
And for those who didn't know she is actually wearing the body suit she wears under her body armor in that picture. It was photoshopped though so large sections of it look skin toned. Thus giving to the illusion that she is bearing much skin, when in actuality she is at worst just showing off her curves in a wet suit.
Oh hell, yeah I'll just go all out and nerd on the details. To further support the fact that this shopped you can note that her eye color in the picture is white. The parts of her Zero suit that were blue are also white. Forwhatever reason they seem to have selected all shades of blue and didn't deselect her eyes when they changed the hue.
