Great music choice. Funky as all hell. Isn't it amazing how "Birth of a Nation" is hailed by film criticism texts as one of the greatest of all time, along with Leni Riefenstahl's "Triumph of the Will" - divorcing the artistic merit from the political/racial content - when both ARE political/racist statements by definition ? Whoo-lawd, well, scuze me while dis ol' jigaboo duz a lil' buck-and-wing while de Massa's away. Jimmy crack cown !
perhaps what the critics are really divorcing is the artistic merit (the political and racial tones) from the technical or aesthetic merits. Although one might also think that they are just FEIGNING this kind of 'progressive' artistic disregard to further embolden and spread the seeds of racism and classism!
