I just went to econ8.com. The timer was at 5 seconds, counted all the way down (with the same ticking sound effect from "24", real original) and then the page went blank. Now I get a "page cannot be displayed" message when I go. But econ8.net works, and still has an hour and 16 minutes left. I'm betting it's just a gay advertisment for something stupid.

As a developer of a moderately important project I am sorry to say that many of you will be disappointed, or let down, when the veil is lifted. However that does not detract from our project and what is to be unveiled.

Me and Jeff created this site, eon8. It's nothing at all, other than a countown which will reset 42 hours after it reaches it's end. During this 42 hour period, a new page will display with a simple knock knock joke. Nothing more, nothing less.
It's a project we're doing for a class at MIT, relating to memes (actual memes, not your generic Internet memes) and proving their existance. Thanks for helping spread the word, though.
