I think you got every single quality fad in there cept for Peppy, unless he is there and I can't see. Max might as well be using one of Typogra's printed-out ytmnd's as toilet paper since the main site is such crap nowadays. It was good for a couple days this week, but with that Japanese thing up there... no...

lol, rage. who cares if this has 5 million views added? Max is playing you all for fools, doing some sort of eon8 type sh*t, and is going to intellectually rape your collective asses when he reveals it was just an experiement to see how much f*ggotry he could squeeze out of the ytmnd populace in one go. either that, or him and state of mind are personally aquainted and this was thought up in a drunken haze. either way, im just gonna sit back and watch the fun unfold.
Oh, god. So much speculation over so little. First of all, he's noted in http://ytmnd.com/info/about that YTMND is about "a site created for the purpose of furthering the __creativity__ of its users" (underscores added). Therefore, he hates these creativity-killing fads. Second, all he would've had to do was add 5000000 to a database value, perhaps via an easy Web form. It's not hard at all, and hardly tough to take them back out by (gasp!) SUBTRACTING 5000000 from the new, inflated count.
Finally, if I was admin'ing YTMND I'd add 10000000 views to every one of State-of-mind's sites, because his sites often have original, fresh ideas and material. Compare to some idiot like gamekid who just makes sites because they like adult stars, like Mega Man, or have an obsessive crush on Lindsay Lohan. YTMND NEEDS MORE STATE-OF-MINDS, and Max is saying here that he agrees.
I'm trying to say that this is benign sh*t compared to what he COULD've done. He could've deleted everything but Adverb's (see: "rollback" news story) and State-of-mind's sites. Instead, all he did was inflate a number on HIS database on HIS website. If you don't like it, stop blindly clicking what's on the top 15, and search the Up and Comings or even random.ytmnd.com to surprise yourself a bit. QED. ;)
