"But SA didn't "create" it. FYAD regular, Happycat (formerly FancyCat/Fancy Car) found the image on a Russian cat food website and made it his custom title. SA may be responsible for exposing the public to the image, but had absolutely nothing to do with "creating" it."
Yep even the creator is still ignorant.
I'm of the opinion that the majority of this community mongers for internet wars to give themselves odd personal satisfaction like they actually make a difference or matter. We are the all singing, all dancing crap of the world, deal with it, and don't go and make up 'wars' over dumb sh*t like this. Don't join into the giant crowd to be e-cool and say you fought in the war. On a side note, http://www.fugly.com/videos/5737/zidane_benny_hill.html .........now go start a war over that.
NEDM appeared from a video of a cat being burned, it was not the figherfigher cat, for more info refer to "NEDM:Revelations" by tinatiumgecko (who was the one who started the fad by stating "Not even doom music"). The original site with the cat burning was deleted. It was sad video. Then titanium gecko 1'd everyone who 5d the site.
YTMND attacks only against the sheer INDIGNITY of using the image that we have taken and made sacred. So what if it originally came from SomethingAwful? They obviously didn't care enough to attack us for it. YTMND, on the other hand, actually has a backbone and struck against the blasphemers. I would have it no other way.
The way to go about this like adults would have been to ask them for their side of the story. You know, find out why they are trademarking an image they did not create and simply ask why they aren't crediting their sources. But they didn't deserve a flamewar and all this undue stress. Despite our "success," we have only succeeded in giving ourselves a bad reputation to those who have never been to YTMND. Great. More converts for Bauman. This site 5'd for great justice!
