I wonder why when people insult Islam they get called 'racist' but you never hear people who insult Christianity or any other religion called 'racist.' Likewise, I wonder how many people upvote YTMNDs about Scientology but flip out when it is about Islam. Islam is a larger cult with a track record far worse than Scientology.
Apparently retards don't know what racism is. Not all muslims practice islam, and making fun of a single man is not a racist act. The original cartoon by the Danish cartoonsit wasn't offensive; it featured Muhammad, a symbol for the people of islam, with a bomb on his mind, bombs being the MOST USED WEAPON OF ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISTS! not to mention that after th original was released they created a 'Holocaust Cartoon Contest', the results of which are now proudly being displayed, which is a thousand times worse than this. Blatantly offensive. I'm Catholic, and if you drew a picture of Jesus Christ with a rocket up his *ss or something, it wouldn't ruin my day, but it would piss me off. The ytmnd was quite subpar, but I fived it for the message. Muslims have depicted the image of Mohammed in the past, and most of the riots were instigated and fanned on by anti-west propaganda people that MADE UP blasphemous cartoons and said the Danes published them. So then the Muslims attacked AMERICAN embassies... because of course all western countries are the same. I have no sympathy for mindless tools that can be incited to mass genocide over freedom of the press IN ANOTHER FREAKING COUNTRY.

Then explain to me Anoin, what WAS it about? If it wasn't becuase of Islam, what was it? I don't want a religion in mass numbers inside my country which states that those who don't follow Islam are to be killed, or at best live as second class citizens. They cannot handle our concept of freedom of speech. No, they are not all extremeist, I know they aren't; but the religion allows for an extremist fringe that comprises a % way beyond what any sane person would want.
I think issues such as these are of huge concern; not only to Europe, but the rest of the world. It's extremely unfortunate that these topics are brushed underneath the carpet for fear of not being Politically Correct, or "offending" these Islamists. It's a shame that no one wants to listen to the level-headed people within Islam. They would much rather listen to someone whose only suggestion is "JIHAD!!!"
What was it about? The tensions in the Middle East, of course. The cartoons were more an excuse to riot, the pushing factor, but not the main cause. Had a far, far stronger Islamic country invaded Canada and Mexico with some semi-reasonable grounds and no intervention from the UN, you could still be sure to find some extremist Christian groups, and more than a few riots. As for Islam wanting to kill people of other religions, this is from the Islamic holy texts:

speech." And that's what it really comes down to. Islam would have us put a limit to freedom of speech, and we shouldn't cave in for fear of offending anyone. If they dislike the freedom of speech we have, they can go to the Middle East where you will get beheaded for drawing Muhammed, if that's what they would prefer. Instead they try tell us what we can and can't do in our own countries.
I'm an atheist as well, which makes me believe only more so that we shouldn't be afraid to call out religion if it's threatening our freedoms. Where does it say that in the Qur'an? I've read most of the Qur'an, which is why I think Islam is such a threat. I'll post a few trinkets for you to think over.

But Christianity, which is practically built into Western society, was exactly the same further back in history. In the Bible, god is known to command genocide, for reasons including religion (Numbers 21:34-35) (Numbers 31:7-41)(Numbers 21:34-35) as well as committing the same act himself, he orders the destruction of temples to other religions (Deuteronomy 12:2-3)(Exodus 34:11)...I could go on. The Bible is not all butterflies and rainbows, yet Christianity is not incompatible to Western Culture.
They openly state that they don't give a sh*t about democracy, and will change our form of government to a form of Shia Law as soon as they are the majority. Yet we continue to let them flood into Europe and America in mass numbers becuase we need to be "tolerant" towards them? They will not show us any such kindness; and I don't know about you, but I don't want future generations to have to live with Islam in our countries.
The difference, Anoin, is that our societies are built upon Christianty, and theirs Islam. Our nations reflect as much, and to allow one to lose out to the other would mean disaster. Oh, and by the way, Christians did all those attrocities in the name of God, while Islamists kill BECUASE THE QU'RAN TELLS THEM TO DO SO. That's a MAJOR difference.
Our societies have progressed far beyond the Middle Ages. However, theirs (for all intents and purposes) have not. Now, how is that wise to let them gain power over us in our indigenous countries when they have this mentality towards us? Did you know they still hold a grudge against us for the Crusades? Did you know they see this as their revenge?
