"O never understood the whole Ebaum's scandal. Isn't ytmnd all about using
other people's music and images? Seriously, how much of ytmnd's content is
original?"
There's a difference between fair use for parody, and a rip-off of something that was intended to be a joke in the first place. I won't say that ytmnd is completely free from infringements, however, it's a non-profit site, and max does remove sites if people complain about them. ebaum's, however is composed almost exclusively of stolen content
Two things: 1: I'm not going to put the generic Alanis Morissett "Ironic" music is up because (A It's harder to read stuff when a Canadian women is singing in the background (B I want YTMND to be a place where the standard music boundries are pushed. I want people to enjoy the music and possible look into the artist later, for they may enjoy very much the content they have been missing out on. Also 2. The advertisements on YTMND are just non-intrusive Google Ads to keep the website alive; very expensive.
