i liked your less than spectacular melting idea.

Brilliant idea! Though I'd suggest isolating the flavors in seperate packaging (like sandwich bags) and at least keep the gummy cubes in the freezer longer. Wait a day if you have to. If that doesn't work then longer.

Was the bag like burning hot when you got it out of the car?
August 26th, 2006

the flavor isolation is a good idea. i just don't know if i feel like spending hours trying to scrape those damn cubes out of the tray. that one i gouged out with a knife, the rest i just microwaved and poured out the liquid, which got all over everything.

the bag was quite warm. it sucks when you get the stuff on you while pouring it in.

I once melted white chocolate and put it in a peanut butter sandwich. The result tasted horrible. Good to see people still try this crap.

u should have frozen it and then allowed it to cool at room temperature.... also u could have just run the ice tray under hot water that would cause ths ticky bits to wash out of the tray. woohoo!
August 26th, 2006
(0)
Heh, would have been cooler if it worked. ;)

Try not freezing it instead. You won't get the "frozen hard frosty whatever the hell that is" effect on them.
(0)
^or not chilling it at all. (don't blame me if they spoil)

Why don't you try separating each type/flavour of gummi treat (buy multiple bags) and then melting them? Plus, I'd try letting it set in a less cold enviroment.
