The gamecube was more powerful than the PS2 and online play will be free. They're not trying to make great graphics, they're trying to do something innovative that will be easier for new gamers or non-gamers and still be fun for gamers! AND it has a VERY reasonable price! Plus, if you want to get a PS3, three extra controllers (for 4p play) and a few gamers, it will cost about ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS! AND it will cost a thousand EUROS in the EU! Let's just let the console war play out and see who wins...

put in better sound, and IMO the Wii looks like a cool system, so don't dis it Mr. Sony fanboy. You have fun spending $599 on the system and $60 - $100 a pop on games. I have better things to spend money on.

PS3 will seriously crash hard. $600 for a console is outrageous. XBox 360 sounds more reasonable, although if you're going to get either you should really just get a PC.
