The problem is this...the new Top Viewed section cycles down about 30 - 40 YTMND in the top viewed. It should have about 3 pages in a complete cycle, with the first page being the top 10 viewed. But it STARTS with #12 on the TOP VIEWED and goes down from there! It IGNORES THE TOP 10-11 ACTUAL TOP VIEWED SITES. MAX PLEASE FIX THIS! GREAT SITES ARE LOSING VIEWERSHIP!!!!

He didn't "IMPROVE" the site, it's OBVIOUSLY a CODING ERROR. Skipping the top 10-11 ACTUAL TOP VIEWED SITES can't possibly be an "improvement" or "better" what it's doing is cutting the view count of sites that make it off the Up and Coming in HALF in a 24 hour period, and I don't believe that's a conscious decision by anybody in charge of these things.
And if you still question it, at any give time today or tomorrow, click [today] on Top Viewed and look at the view count of the top 10 sites. Then look at the 11th or 12th site, then look at the highest listed site on Top Viewed on the front page. And if it doesn't make perfect sense after that...well, then I've got nothing for you.
I seriously do not understand you people. At all. PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSES. If the TOP VIEWED SECTION is a RANDOM ASSORTMENT OF SITES (which it's NOT, it's the bottom 3rd of the actual top viewed sites)THEN ITS NOT. A. LIST. OF. ACTUAL. TOP. VIEWED. SITES. (slaps forehead and shakes head) And how the F*CK is fixing it going to INCREASE THE COST OF RUNNING YTMND?!??!
I'll say this again. IF MAX WANTED the TOP VIEWED SITES to be RANDOM SAMPLINGS I SINCERELY BELIEVE that he would CHANGE THE HEADING TO "RANDOM SAMPLINGS". But, if you LOOK it says "TOP VIEWED YTMNDS". TOP VIEWED, and it has SUBCATAGORIES BELOW IT like TODAY, and THIS WEEK, and when you CLICK THEM, it shows SITES with THE HIGHEST AMOUNT OF VIEWS IN DESCENDING NUMERICAL ORDER. The page is simply BROKEN, or MIS-CODED. Ziggah, if you're too damned stupid to see that for what it is, then there's no reaching you.

"i like the new one better more variety" qfwtf. Why don't we just have a random list of sites then? Oh wait- we do. Maybe it could be a random site of only the good sites then, you know- the worthwhile ones. Oh that's right, we have that too. I don't see how you can argue that this is working as intended, and if it is, that Max wasn't high when he made this decision.
I still stand firm on my THEORY (they're all theories here till Max or a mod give us any type of "official" response) that it's simply BROKEN, and Max doesn't have any intention of fixing / having somebody fix it because he's going to be rolling out a whole NEW frontpage very very soon (see latest newsfeed).
My theory: A site that makes the top 100 or so views in a day is probably an interesting site that people may want to see, and thus is put there. This makes it less rewarding to viewhack into the top 15.
Note that none of the sites on there have a very small number of views, like 15 or so. They are from among the top X sites of the day, just not necessarily the top 15.
