you know, at first, before I clicked, I thought you wanted to ban the M:tG card Whetstone. and I was like omg.

You are a bloody f*cking disgrace to the free-flow of information on the internet. I hated Whetstone's site, but if ytmnd has a problem with someone being able to sponsor a site about his/her personal beliefs, then maybe there's something wrong with the format of ytmnd. It's certainly not Whetstone's problem, cuz his site was better than half the crap here (certainly better than this.) Besides, the only people his site would offend are the "devout" atheists who can't stand to see people believing in a higher power, and they're dipsh*ts anyway.

As sick as I am of heavy handed, overly sensitive christians and their propaganda YTMNDs trying to convert us "arrogant" "13 year old" "angsty" atheists (Strange that I'm a happy nineteen year old with a well in wack ego) ... Banning people for making retarded YTMNDs opens up the door for a lot of tyrannical restrictions that would make this site suck.
This is stupid. You say he "crams it down your throat". Is he there forcing you to watch his stuff? The moment you discover it Whetstone, you click the back button on your browser, it's not that hard! If you don't want to see it, don't watch it. There are some people out there, however that do appreciate his work and find it thought inspiring, thats not you, and thats ok.

Daily i see anti-christian and anti-religion ytmnds created on this site. It needs to go both ways, both pro and con to get balance and to promote free speech.
Banned? Man, you need better things to do with yourself. If you object to his half-baked ideas, then the simple solution is to not entertain him. Don't click on his stuff, give appropriate ratings to it, or whatever. Nobody is forcing you to watch these. Someone spouting garbage is not a good reason to ban someone. If he becomes legitimately dangerous and harmful, well, that's something else. But everyone has a right to their opinions, and to voice them, and to act upon them.

Look, people. I hate religion. I hate how it blinds people to new ideas, shackles people to conformity, and endorses anything from slavery, murder, human sacrifice, and racism. HOWEVER. Ever heard of free speech? Whetstone deserves to say whatever he wants. You can ignore him if you want. When EvaXephon says scientology is a "murderous cult," isn't that grossly offensive to peaceful, practicing scientologists? How is that any different from whetstone's remarks? Berate all you want, but don't ban.
His "Why God exists" site started a lively philosophical debate, and on YTMND no less. Even though he was wrong, a lot of his sites are still pretty interesting. And his logo's pretty cool. I got no beef with preachin' Christians, he's actually better than the guy who shouts stuff on the corner at college. But all in all, it's up to Max, cuz it's his site. Let him decide.
I don't agree with whetstone at all, but he hasn't done anything wrong except voice his opinion. He has done absolutely nothing obnoxious or despicable. You're a complete dipsh*t and people like you contribute greatly to the world's problems. I speak of those who wish to censor others who they find objectionable. You should seriously re-evaluate your values.

If Max wishes to ban him, that is his perogative. However, I don't understand why Whetstone should be singled out as the subject of banning campaign by fellow YTMNDers. If you KNOW you don't like what he has to say, don't watch anything by him. Simple.
I have mixed feelings about this. Whetstone is a condesending *ssh*l*e who makes arguements with logical holes in them big enough to drive a truck through. Anyone who has ever read a book other than the bible can counter most of what he says. I think that free speech is in the spirit of this site. At most Max should refuse his donations but should allow him to make YTMNDs that can quickly be downvoted and nevert seen again.
well, i dont watch the boards, but i have to say, if hes chattin it up on there about religion and actually FORCING it upon you, yea, banin should be considered. If hes just discussing it/talking about it, leave him be.
As far as his sites go, well, I'm an athiest, and i find his sites kinda interesting, just ignore em if there that bothering to you noones makeing us go to his sites.
Meh, you complain that the guy is trying to change people's beliefs, but plenty of other YTMNDs do the same thing - try to change my view on scientology, try to change my views on religion, try to change my views on quantum physics, or, in this case, try to change my view of weather this guy should be banned or not.
Do I agree with him? Not necessarily. That doesn't make it wrong for him to try and persuade people to what he feels is a better course of action. People do it constantly, even on ytmnd.
YTMND is not a democracy. Nobody has rights. It's run by one guy who can basically say what goes or what does not. We can at least post publicly what we want to see happen (e.g. convert to Christianity, ban whetstone, etc.).
That being said, I want to vote to ban whetstone and all pro-religious YTMND traffic. If it were up to me, this would be free of missionary acts and pro-religious anything.
Hipocracy lol. Who cares anyway... Just ignore him, and everything will be cool. The only good point (why your getting a 2) Is showing that he is somewhat of a hypocryte. If you didn't show that, I would still completely side with him. If he is going to post it, he needs to clean up his act.

Does that mean I would do what Max did if I were in his position? No. People who have a problem with whetstone have such an easy fix to it, it's a wonder they're complaining at all. I don't see people who hate Hitler going and checking out books on the Holocaust at their local library. I don't see high-moral people playing games like Afterlife.
