You would think Texaggie, however, lets look at history. JFK and his brother banged Marilyn Monroe, Clinton got head from an intern. So they were cheating on their wives. Yet, they cheated on their wives with people of age and of the opposite gender. I can't say this for Monica, but Marilyn was probably the hottest bitch around in her day. There were two sex scandals involving one Rep. and one Dem. back in the early 80's, in that case the Dem. was gay, Rep. was straight (hey I have to concede something not to be totally biased!) But anyway, Democrats tend to be involved in sex scandals more than republicans... Hey, Dems. get laid, big deal. So anywho, now we have Foley, a Republican. secrets of their own) But Republicans have a lot more "integrity" resting on their shoulders. Foley, a former co-chair of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, has created a big problem for the GOP. The irony of his old position on the particular committee is both humorous and scary at the same time. So now with the mid-terms closing in, you have a Republican who is gay (gay person representing the anti-gay GOP?!?! For shame!) resigning and checking into rehab. Not only was he gay, but...
his relationship was with a minor. Thats a double whammy. But this is all really unimportant in regards to the entire party. They would normally play this off as a mistake and that they have no control over who wins elections. So they dissasociate themselves with Foley, and say sorry there was a bad seed, he doesn't represent us at all. However, its not that easy. The political fallout from this is that some "ethical" GOP representatives may have known about this and done nothing! (cover up)
