Creative X-fi + Games = ...
x-fi LOVES to f*ck with your mind and add static randomly in games. this will give a taste for those who dont own the sound card. Worth $300? :(

Mine works great. It's usually EA Games (I am guessing you are referring to BF2/2142's X-Fi "support") who f*cks with people, and that is who I blame 100%...because Electronic Arts is failing us all miserably and appearantly doesn't give a sh*t. However, my X-Fi XtremeMusic worked great with the demo versions of both games--I will just never buy either game for the fact that they are useless IMHO.

The only reason why they get like that because the large chip on the damn sound card gets hot, Mine was a soundblaster 24-bit and it got to hot and it started on fire, luckly enough I was able to get inside my computer quick enough to pull it out. I rather have the card that creative came out. Soundblaster Live! 4.1 model CT4780 . They used that card inside the older pentium III's/AMD K7 computers. They still make that card til today, and it has wonderful sound still.

Since you included robots doing pelvic thrusts, and I think that's pretty funny, you get points for that.

Also a chipset fan with the sticky pad will do well for all those cards, also make sure the sticky pad is not cheap material, and make sure it sticks well. I hate creative cards. I would recommend Creative Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 or Sound Blaster Audigy; Echo Audio Layla24 or Mona; or M-Audio Delta 1010, Delta 1010-LT, or Delta 410) for playing multichannel audio content. The Audigy's are like the CT4780 cards.

btw: Some of these cards I recommend, they are pretty expensive, such as Echo Audio Layla24 and Mona.

I'd definitely recommend the Xtrememusic or the Audigy 2ZS, both are around $90 either after rebate (Audigy) or after instant savings (Xtrememusic) on Newegg. I can actually tell exact direction and depth in Counter-Strike: Source and other games...it adds a lot to the gameplay.

once while playing oblivion it just randomly did a long combonation of tones, and now whenever i boot my computer it opens a screen that says "NVIDIA BOOT AGENT" and some numbers and crap and i have to press esc to start my computer and it makes random static noises all the time even while idle on windows and im probably going to return it and buy the basic 7.1 thingy that comes with really cheap computers and then ill have sound that actually doesnt kill my ears constantly and get like 180$ back

and also whenever the computer actually makes a sound (like when i look at a YTMND or play a game) it makes a loud sound reminiescient of some one banging wood against stone in an empty acoustic room with echoes
