i am not gonna even start on this, but punk isnt dead, it evolved. i hate pop punk, but it is what most people consider to be "punk" because most people don't hear real punk music, as it is not played on the radio or tv. there are many punk bands out there, and it is alive and well. as for the quality of most of the bands, i can't speak to that.
REAL Punk is dead.. Billy Idol is not as badass as he when he was with Generation X.. :/
Bah! Green Day... Ever notice the lead singer's mannerisms? Its like he's trying to be JOE STRUMMER! You know the message by the Clash was clear and to the point. I really dont care that they are one of Green Day's major influences... Green Day tries to be like them in everyway. the message they convey makes no sense what so ever... plus their music blows! Makes me wanna listen to DK - MTV Get Off The Air, LOL
