You do realize that Winters is a real person. Would you like other people making sh*t like this of you if you went through that kind of traumatizing crap? I'm not getting all holier-than-thou, but WWII wasn't f*cking funny and it's a miracle Winters and the majority of his men made it out alive. Stop making this kind of sh*t a joke to make a couple juvenile little pricks laugh at what they don't understand.
Hey SageOverride, of course WWII wasn't funny. We're not laughing at that, we're laughing at Sylvester's take on Winters taking out an enemy. I'm sure the event was traumatizing, but it was still a good deed. If this was a friendly fire scene or a scene of Winters executing innocent civilians, then I agree that the humor of the site would be overwhelmed by the misfortune of the underlying act. But that isn't the case here.
^If you showed Hitler around a bunch of dead Jews or something, that isn't funny. By himself, there's no real harm. Just like if you showed American troops standing together after WWII with "We Are the Champions" playing in the background, that's fine, but if you showed them all getting shot or killing the enemy with some cheesy sound that was insulting to all soldiers of that war, then that isn't appropriate. Most of the users who view this site don't comprehend a god damn thing; end of story.
People usually forget that 'the enemy' are people to. Americans deserved to die just as much and as little as Germans did. In either country, you were forced into the army by the government. You didn't stick around because you were a nazi or believed in the good fight. You stuck around because in either army, you'd be shot for defecting.
