I don't think it's the WOWness that bugs people as much as the near incomprehensibility of some of these inside-jokes. These are all over YTMND it's just that they almost never make it into top-viewed because those have to have mass appeal (or luck). But WOW does. I'm an RTS (Starcraft, Warcraft II, III) kinda guy so I don't get them, but I also don't mind either.
I fived this cause I like the fact that nerds all across the planet get soo angry at a WoW site being on top viewed because the creators of the sites post it up in the WoW forums, and they get a lot of advertising that way.
I've never seen so many kids so angry over the stupidest of sh*t.

-2 for WOW... and let me explain why people hate WOW YTMNDS. About a month after WOW came out till about a year after it's release EVERY DAY we had a plethera of retarded WOW Gnome-Dancing YTMNDS, YTMNDs of people on WOW saying an inside joke, and retarded WOW YTMNDS that actually tried to look cool. WOW YTMNDs carry this burden with them... and nobody wants YTMND to turn into a WOW site...
