Why can't we just have fun?
Created on: April 23rd, 2007
When we were kids we could just have fun. Go in the backyard and pick up a stick and you could turn it into a gun or a sword. It was fun and it could last for hours and it didn't cost a thing. Then we learned about stores and toys and money and the stick

When we were kids we could just have fun. Go in the backyard and pick up a stick and you could turn it into a gun or a sword. It was fun and it could last for hours and it didn't cost a thing. Then we learned about stores and toys and money and the stick went back to being a stick and fun, fun got a price tag.
Tonight I learned a lot and this is my epilogue for whats happened. I wanted to credit keaton in some way for his site and they say imitation is the most sincere for of flattery, so I wanted to get that point across. Max taught me a lot tonight. Taught me this isn't a stick in the backyard. That this isn't free. As much I don't want economics to play a role in my entertainment, it does. More so for Max than me. And as much as we don't like these ads or know they may be necessary at this point.
It still shouldn't make us forget that the fun we had tonight, maybe not so fun for max, just came naturally, like the stick. We have all this technology, but is it really better than that stick? Does it really make things more fun? I'm at a point in my life where I want to know, really, whats better. A computer with lights and sounds, or a stick with no price tag. I don't know. It's late, and I don't know.
