This gif probably took longer to make than actually changing the preloader itself

This could increase the load on the server link. As it will have to make two simultaneous file transfers instead of two sequential ones for each YTMND site... So every time one makes an EPIC PACARD DOES A JAMAICAN BARREL ROLL 11 it could overload das link... I mean, that's why many download sites don't allow those download accelerators that make 8 simultaneous connections, amiright?
YTMND is in constant evolution. The way the preloader works right now, it isn't possible. That's because the foundation of YTMND is based on the .gif / .wav / .mp3 format. When you hook into a traditionally loaded .gif on a webpage, there's no cross-browser compatible way of polling the loading progress. This is something that would have to be entirely done in Flash. Understanding the roots of YTMND, making this happen would be quite the controversial issue. But then again (continued)
... like I said, YTMND is evolving. I think max and I would both be at least a little bit interested in what the users think about going from the traditional YTMND medium (browser-based .gif, .wav/.mp3) into a more accessible/portable format such as importing it entirely into Flash-based playback.
