You know, it's odd, I've never seen V, never read the graphic novel, and am only passingly familiar with the gunpowder plot. This was a username I used to troll with on imdb back in the 90's pretending to be a lower class Brit from Liverpool. Why I would use a name I associate with trolling on this site, I can only imagine.
standard internet responses make me sad. "Religion causes wars" is the standard red herring thrown out by people who know nothing of either religion or war. All they know is they don't want some meddling god telling them what's moral or not, and they need a grander sounding platform than "I don't want there to be a higher power because it makes me uncomfortable." Just my opinion.
