The Constitution gives us the right to free speech. "Piss Jesus" was OK but putting a Qur'an in a toilet is somehow not? One religion can be figuratively pissed on but not another? How can this be free speech? In effect this is like flushing the Constitution. Why is Islam given preference by the law?
Did Christian extremists kill 3000 American people on American soil in one of America's biggest cities? Did Christian extremists bomb the London subway? Do Christian extremeists strap bombs to themselves and then blow themselves up in order to kill others? Do Christian extremists murder their daughters for not keeping their bodies completely covered? Was it 17 Christian extremists plotting a terror attack in Canada? Do Christian extremists kill anyone who converts away from Christianity?
Do Christian extremists go into Jewish schools to shoot Jewish children? Do Christian extremists bomb marching bands? Do Christian extremists drive cars filled with explosives into hotels? Do Christian extremists burn down embassies? Do Christian extremists kidnap leaders of other religions and put them up for ransom? Did Christian extremists bomb a train station in Spain? Do Christian extremists still carry out Crusades? Do Christian extremists stone young women to death for dating non-Christians?
Muslim extremists and Christian extremists are not even in the same league. Christian extremists might be annoying but Muslims are deadly. Oh, and there's over 2 million Muslims in the United States. Idiots like you clearly know nothing about Islam. Idiots like you are sealing the fate of this nation.
People like you just don't get it, and you never will until it's too late. These Muslims are in our nation. They are in our Universities. Harvard and Georgetown have recieve huge donations from Saudi-Arabia which puts them under pressure to appease Muslim desires. In Harvard they've made women only gym hours because in Islam men and women must be seperated. In Georgetown they have an entire Muslim center named after a Saudi prince. A center which employs "researchers" with known involvement with terrorists.
You people need to wake up. Why the hell do you liberals try to defend Muslims. They stand against everything liberals supposedly hold dear. They are extremely sexist, homophobic (in Iran 2 homosexual teens were hung), violent, religious, and theocratic. Of course I know why the liberals defend them. Because the average liberals have no ideas of their own, and form their policies simply by protesting everything conservatives support.
Also you act like you have to choose, "either I hate Christianity or I hate Islam". Again tying into the "I must hate everything conservatives support, and support everything conservatives hate" line of thinking. YOU CAN HATE THEM BOTH. I've got no problem with people who hate all religion; only a fool would think they're all equally dangerous though. The undeniable fact is that in modern times much more violence is commited for Islam then for Christianity.
"Allowing for the same number of extremists in all religions" is a false assumption to begin with. And with Islam we can be specific and say that it is the Sunni Wahhabist sect that is pursuing violent Jihad. Wahhabism began in Saudi-Arabia and is the state religion. Saudi money is being poured into our universities and the Saudis are funding terrorism (against our culture and even against the less radical Islamic sects). There is no such level of funding ($ trillions) or org. for x-tian Xtrmism.
The punishment this student recieved is just another small step towards Islamic law. You can bet if it was any other book he wouldn't have recieved that many hours of CS. In fact they wanted to charge him with a "Hate Crime", a charge that could lead to jail time, for this. Fortunately liberal Judges aren't that crazy, yet.
