like a lot of my other work, this site is a simply a metaphor. in this case, it represents the country's obsession with west coast fashion and culture, and how companies are shoving it down the throats of the weak and gullible. when people in the middle of the country who are hundreds of miles away from any body of water are wearing flip flops because they are 'cool' and their friends wear them, they have fallen for the trap. they are sheep.
Sandal wearers simply do not agree, and this should not be perceived as any form of panty-bunching.
It is a difference of opinion based on regional climate and cultural fashion (which is objective to say the least). I should make a website about how popped collars and sideways baseball caps make you look like a douchebag. Then I will make fun of you as you defend those fashion choices :P
What I meant by this is that guys that call flip flops gay are usually also the ones who aren't secure enough in their masculinity/sexuality to take their shirt off in front of people. The same way they aren't secure enough to wear something like flip flops, which are unisex, on a hot day or on a beach when they are much more comfortable and practical than shoes.
