personally (and more abstractly ideologically) i think it comes down to two definitions: that of people and power. if you are seen as less of a person (as in the case of women, minorities, foreigners, rivers, robots, etc), then the material conditions of your existence can be threatened wo compunction. and nothing will be done about it until power is no longer considered in terms of controlling a given limited resource (even intellectual resources) but rather redefined as the ability to bring people together. anyway, lol.
I'm not sure its possible. As much as humanity likes to brag about its accomplishments, we've never really evolved in the way we organize ourselves. We've never surpassed tribal hierarchies. We've only made them bigger and more nuanced. The power struggle will continue to exist as long as self-preservation involves the attainment of power/wealth/resources for personal security.
