Counter-racist science projects? And here I was thinking its bad to incorporate politic bias into science. While its undoubtedly humiliating to be to suffer discrimination due to your phenotypic features... the media-propagated stigma against eugenics (not to be confused with genocide), or even the NOTION that some populations differ in cognitive ability due to genetics tis absurd.
Ugly as racism is, bigotry should not be 'the' cardinal sin in society. Its even more stigmatized than dishonesty, cruelty, violence.
I guess I'm just amazed at the people who have no problem with and find humor in the hyperbolic rape and sodomy in moon man sites, but when it comes to RACISM (heaven forbid that even be satirized) they want nothing to do with it.

What did I dismiss or deny? I found this site because it was on the front page. If it makes you feel better I'll give you a 2 instead because the image was nice. My concentration in college was in behavioral neuroscience; I know quite a bit about the history of psychometrics, and the development of social policy based around eugenics and evolutionary psychology in the US in the early twentieth century. I'm discussing politics here though, not the science or morality of it. My point being that James Watson (one of the scientists who discovered the structure of DNA as we know it) lost a shitload of credibility for suggesting differences in intelligence between populations for genetic reasons. Issues of intelligence testing aside, such as possible cultural bias, my point is that its a completely taboo subject.
So what are "its effects"? There's empirical support that the racist policies of the 60's were detrimental to black children. But there's also a growing body of evidence that violence and cruelty in the media are detrimental to children, too, which is largely dismissed and ignored.
My point being: Why is racism for shock value completely, utterly, and unquestioningly reviled; but the use of graphic descriptions of rape for shock value is... largely ignored by people who consider moon man to be immature and revolting?
