Yeah, I suppose you couldn't really animate a single picture. I was thinking more along the lines of taking some frames from the video source and converting them into an animated .gif. If you don't know how to do that, there are some very helpful tutorial videos on YouTube, depending on what software you have at your disposal. If you're looking for something simpler, I've seen some users work with gifsoup.com; I don't really know how it works though. One of the problems with gifsoup is that it leaves a pesky watermark on your image, but if you don't mind that, it may be a good solution.
