gruhh...social norms = brain wash. Brain Wash + False Hope = Expectations of Grandeur + Dogmatic Obligation = Forcible conversion. You can't have the dogma of destiny and expect people to make their own choices at the same time. Abolish ignorance; do not tolerate it.
If Norway were to be bombed by people who believed that countries in cold places totally sucked, and ought to be wiped off the face of the earth, their policies toward cold-haters may change to favor oppression of those peoples' rights and freedoms.
Just a 'for instance', of course it's absurd and hardly parallel to the war America is involved in, but what would you have America do? Ignore the rest of the world? Take our noses out of the middle east? You know we can't do that, we still need oil.
I don't give two-thirds an ounce of sh*t what you believe, oppression is not acceptable (and the CIA factbook is not wrong, Mechasm...srsly? 4 rllz?). If you hate American foreign policy, get in line, but direct your attention to those we oppose as well, see that we're not the worst thing on the planet, and while some people are doing a better job at being free and living well than we are, they are of no significant importance, and not worth threatening.
