I disagree with the conclusion.
If some unforeseen disaster doesn't wipe out humanity in a few centuries, then I would venture to say that we will never be totally wiped out. Even if a disaster like that struck Earth, once we have colonies on other planets, in other solar systems, in other galaxies, etc... then it really won't threaten the future of humanity. Some exceptions apply.
I haven't even taken anything beyond High School chemistry and it seems obvious that making a Cruise Liner that releases more heat than it extracts would be an excellent way to waste energy, not gain it.
To the idiots out there: There was a 5 second delay where the guy on the phone said some obscene stuff, the cut it out, and it appears that he was cut off for simply mentioning Keith. While I despise people like O'Reilly, he had every right to cut off someone who was messing with him on the air and pursue action against the guy who did it.
