I stopped coming to YTMND for a long while. I don't get the matlab thing. I can't find what sparked this fad either. Usually there was at least one great site that spawns a fad like this- was there ever one for Matlab? I dont think there was.
I live in Detroit and we had it pretty bad this year too. I'm moving to Texas before next winter as I'm also pretty damned tired of cold miserable weather about 7 months out of the year.
Around 7 out of ever 10 black children in america are born out of wedlock. That's the foundation for the problem, the family unit. These movies show how blame is often associated with black males for this... as statistics show black females graduate from highschool at a higher rate, earn more money on average, and ultimately achieve higher education than black males.
Still though- it might help if they closed their legs while they were out doing all that... but the perception is it's the man's fault.
If you guys have never seen Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, it's a good flick. A modern film written and made to look like a 50's cheezy monster movie. Good for a few laughs.
