Each new number of DirectX includes a new API. Existing hardware isn't compatable with DX10 because it was designed before the revised standard was released. It's like saying that european hair dryers are better than american ones because the american ones can't use european power outlets;

Wow, i guess lots of people had to say lots of things about your YTMND pack for Stepmania.....but as for me, I just want to say that I tip my hat to you sir, these songs are great, the steps are nicely syced, and the pictures are awesome (except the Hardware Store one, that throws me off a little)

Pretty cool. And you can also do this in realtime if you set up a virtual webcam and do a printscreen of something in the YV12 hardware overlay for displaying video. You'll get a repeat of what's on screen and so on. Neat sh*t.
