This is my most controversial addition to the Thunderwing Music Channel. On September 11, 2001, the United States of America suffered the worst terrorist attack of its then 225-year history when the World Trade Center was destroyed when hijacked planes ran into the Twin Towers. I've never been into the punk rock scene. However, I fell in love with this song when I heard it in the 1990s on a local radio station, and bought it on iTunes a few years back. [i]California Uber Alles[/i], released in 1979, was the Dead Kennedys' way of taking then-California Governor (from 1975 - 1983) Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown to task for his "fascist" policies and pontificating on fears about the type of police state he might usher in if elected President of the United States (not that our federal government needs his help). Adam Curry, the famous former MTV VJ, helped invent podcasting in the early part of the first decade of the 2000s. His role in the invention of podcasting earned him the nickname "The Podfather." Many YTMNDers know who the "Gay Pimp" Jonny McGovern is. What you may not know is that Jonny has had a podcast since January 2006 called "Gay Pimpin' With Jonny McGovern." In response to NunicaMusicChannel posting the original version of "I Feel For You" by Rufus and Chaka Khan, I've decided to post a very cool cover of the song by freestyle singer Stephanie Marano. This song was released in 1995 on her album [i]Symphony of Love[/i], but I didn't know about it until a few years later when a friend introduced it to me. It's become my favorite version of the song.
