description:
Unlimited, originating from the Internet persona of the same name, is a hysterically bizarre meme based on the famous avatar, the raving mad superstar Russian comedian. Unlimited, a 65 year-old active comedian, was born in Nizhny Novgorod to wealthy family. From an early age he perused an acting career in the world of cinema, but did not become recognized on the Internet until early 2009 where he made an astonishing appearance in AC Web, a large forum community. Since then, he has been very active letting off self-esteem and just the usual egocentric awesomeness one would expect from a psychotic madman with a brilliant sense of humor. By 2010, the Unlimited meme grew rapidly in popularity as the old man garbed in a mink hat became a legend to thousands of Internet browsers. These people caught immediate attention on the new trend and began generating more memes, from once something made in Paint, now full-blown Photoshop competitions arose with over a thousand entries in just the first three weeks, that which escalated as time went on.
It was first picked up on in 2009 very favorably by the AC Web (ac-web.org) community as a registered user of the website, Unlimited, began creating various comedy articles detailing more and more of his personal life, with images. The most notable was a simple Russian face with a mink hat, beard, and an almost evil grin. The user continues to post comedic articles as well as host popular competitions for the wacky meme.
The goal of the Unlimited meme is to grant users an entire series of more possible images to respond to one another on such websites as forums where comments are shifted back and forth.
An image of the meme is surprisingly simple to concoct as the head has been sublimely rendered, only awaiting a body to be pasted on. The ease of making an entry, the catchy details such as the beard, smile or mink hat of the Russian star, and the insane humor than can be evoked from it all compliment Unlimited as an ideal meme to laugh at, post with or spread among peers or the World Wide Web. Anybody can get creative, with minimal skills required, and only a passion to make. With a little more experience, one can add significant details such as props or effects to raise the bar of endless possibilities this meme has in stock.
Notable hotspots for the Unlimited meme include http://www.ac-web.org/forums/showthread.php?t=106604 and http://www.ac-web.org/forums/showthread.php?t=117048
Variations of the entries were virally posted and acknowledged by Google's spiders. The meme continues to vastly grow, though as of the moment, mostly within a handful of websites.
A few notable examples of the meme can be found in this slideshow: http://img801.imageshack.us/slideshow/webplayer.php?id=acmemeyourflame.png
The Unlimited meme, since its origins in 2009, has been greatly praised as every day more meme images popup on the Internet by inspired artists. It is only a matter of time until it becomes exponentially viral to a wider community.
