actually I was pointing out that this is fake, your pic shows me voting 5 on a variety of sites when it can be guaranteed that I would vote 1... anybody actually posting some porn on ytmnd (welcome to the internet) gets a 1 and anyone who posts a "look I used an erotic title but you clicked and it's actually something else" site gets a 1 as well, because neither is funny or creative and have anything to do with the spirit of this site.

also an explanation as to the happenings with the featured user section would be appreciated. I don't know, it looks like you're doing some sort of one day a week no featured user sites display, at least let us know so we reconsider before debuting something important/hard-worked.

Freaking awesome. Loved the whole bit of it. It seems like the switch to Flash would really do wonders for the site. I love the ad idea as well. I'm not sure what the cost of hosting YTMND is currently though :/ could you give us some idea Max? I'm just curious. Also, gl with flash! Hope to see something new in the future :P

this is something i've always sort of wanted as the ytmnd servers have never been in my time zone. it would require me to go through everywhere time stamps are used and figure out if i need to use ytmnd time or the user's time. if i manage to incorporate it i will probably do it in the refactor. maybe it's something i can do in javascript without much effort.

I don't know if I mentioned this to you, but I love this song. This pre-dates NIN's Ghosts by how long, and sounds like something Reznor would do. I can listen to this track on loop for days, and often do while studying.

Max, you may not be proud of YTMND, and you may feel unappreciated, but sir, you are AWESOME and you need to know it. Even if YTMND isn't doing what you want it to do, it's still doing what IT wants to do, which is a sign of something major: it's alive. it has a soul. it has an emergent identity and that is something precious and amazing even if it's not the precious amazing thing you were hoping for. I looked online to find out what the hell game this is from, it's a game called Doki Doki Majo Shinpan for the Nintendo DS (Japan only apparently). The point of the game is to find out which of the girls is a witch, and in order to do so you have to "grope" them with the DS Stylus, which explains why there's bouncy boobie sprites available. Kinda odd that something of this nature would make it onto a Nintendo handheld, Japan or not. Apparently there's no sex though, just foreplay lol

You said it was like something you would make. I consider that an insult considering you make quick, crappy jokes leaching off what's popular. The total opposite of what I try to do.

And one of the reasons it is abused now is that a lot of people are manual additions and don't get removed quickly enough when they start pouring garbage onto the front page. I really do want to make something that would allow everyone to recommend featured content for the front page, I just don't know how it should work. I miss the high-rated-but-not-necessarily-new content box.

but then the sites won't get the 350 votes usually needed to get off Up and Coming. Top Rated would probably then turn into what Top Viewed has become, and then pretty much decrease the overall activity on the site. Remember when the vote limit for UaC was 500? Sites seemed to stay on the section then as long as they do now. I guess we lost some users since then or something. If we got some more users to join the site then it would probably fix it and get sites off UaC sooner. ...
