I've left this on loop for like ten times now. I just stopped everything I was doing and really started contemplating that I've been here for twenty years.<br /><br />Every time I get together with houseofcards (my real life younger brother), it's no exaggeration that 10% or so of pur conversations relate to dumb YTMND anti-fad in-jokes/shitposts/dumb site ideas that we should have made back in the day when the iron was hot. <br /><br />It's weird because 2011 was exactly the point in which I finally got my shit together, went back to college, and got a proper job and some semblance of a normal life. I can pass pretty well as a normie now, and there have been times at work where some guys are talking about YTMND on Slack and I'm so tempted to out myself as one of the more infamous shitposters but I never do.<br /><br />I love this place and you guys so much. I never want this place to die. I may have axed pretty much every aspect of my internet life pre-2011, but YTMND will forever live rent free in my head.

As for people I have also downvoted on the regular? I can also offer my feelings there too.<br /><br />Pichuz / DerpySillyAccidentPR is definitely high on my list. Their sites come off as the mad ramblings of the mentally ill. The sites themselves are a bunch of text-to-speech leftist word salads, and the fact they're all handled as one big run-on sentence doesn't help. I also am not fond of the AI art they constantly spit out for their inane ramblings, either. Let alone they constantly delete their sites too, and spit out the same stuff constantly as well.<br /><br />SandalSmith? Hoo boy. His whole idea of content here are self-inserts. He seems to hold a vendetta against me because I've constantly talked smack about his YTMNDs. Now he downvotes mine every time they come up. I flew way, way off the handle and pulled a SqrlyJack (don't ask) to try and insult him. So basically it's a rivalry thing, because we're both too stubborn and butthurt at each other to quit. At least he barely uses YTMND, unlike Derpy.<br /><br />I will admit that there's definitely elitism going on. At least, I can admit to being guilty of it myself. Well, this certainly got me to think when I saw it. Strap in, I guess I've got a word salad for you. Not trying to be mean with this one, but I'd like to offer my thoughts on your plight.<br /><br />By definition, I would say all your sites are classic YTMNDs. Picture, sound, text, and a singular focus. They don't use any of the classic fads / memes but honestly, they don't need to. For most of my own YTMNDs, I try to aim for some funny or unique concept, or a direct pop culture quote or scene. Not every site I've uploaded has been well-received either.<br /><br />If I had to guess about the downvotes? My best guess for others, as well as my personal feelings, are about overexposure. I'm again not trying to be mean, but I feel a lot of your YTMNDs are very samey. Usually they're about various female characters in media, or various e-girls, or they're political in nature. But it feels like you've got a "shotgun" approach, throwing a bunch of these very similar sites out at once constantly to see what sticks. <br /><br />I can't speak for everyone else here, but I can at least explain my own displeasure. It sadly doesn't help that people don't seem to offer any real feedback. It's something that irks me about comments across the internet in general. To be fair, a lot of my "constructive criticism" on YTMND is mostly snark and slurs that I qualify for myself.<br /><br />I know I've gotten annoyed by this approach plenty of times. I don't want to make a big deal about it. I'm kind of a zealot and get assmad over the stupidest things. I would like to try and be fair, and give higher ratings on sites of yours that I do like. And even for everyone else's YTMNDs? Hey, they can't all be winners. OfficialUnofficial is also guilty of having samey content.<br /><br />I can't really help you here, but I can at least express my own feelings. Not upset with a 3, more so of the comment, this website is based off of making crude and simple things, I wanted to make this because I was making something else, but stumbled upon this, and I liked the idea of it sounding like a record skipping. But that's about as far as the idea went. And so, I focused on that. Sometimes I like making things that are very basic one idea things. Not everything has to be high art or even middle art. So I totally get the 3, I just get flustered by people expecting more from me when sometimes I want to make something that requires no thought. Plus I've been working on a big reference site again, and so when I'm working on that, making something simple reminds me of why I'm making things in the first place, to have fun. Aaaaaaaanyways, I've rambled a bit. It's all good.

The funny thing is a few minutes ago I literally was going to leave/lay low and give Nickelodeon his space because I'm not really interested in this site myself and I was thinking along the aligns of "I don't want to harm Nickelodeon's mental health and I don't care if max deletes my account", but then I see a rude ass site on the front page that triggered me. so i instantly commented "if i go you go with me" to provoke lurg with something that has happened before.<br /><br />Anyhow ytmnd is a public website not your own backward, you can't control it the way you want to Nickelodeon. I learned that lesson in 2018 with the offline site maker liberating me. All the drama I had with Nickelodeon and max was over six fucking years ago, I don't care anymore.
