So, why make a YTMND if its about the very topic you are fighting? Whestone was mearly showing his opinion about the things of this time, as are you. Therefore, why make something to combat whestone for doing the exact thing that you are doing? You my friend have formed a paradox, well, what would be considered a paradox to anyone with any sense. Stop making bullsh*t ytmnds and accept the diversity of this site.
You fail, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars, and do not try again. You FAIL! >=K

I'm ready to accept death when it comes, and I'm willing to pay any consequences as well. I believe that I'm doing my part to help others because it makes me feel better in return by doing so. I can't accept beliefs solely on faith. I would be lying to myself and everyone else, even if I were to act like I believed when I clearly don't. I don't think true belief is something that can be taught, it's probably something predisposed or gained through a personal experience.

And what Sagan failed to realize is that the self-importance is what makes us strive for advancement as a species. If we see ourselves as only a randomly formed speck of dust the best we can hope for is less miserable lives. Seeing ourselves as beings put here to prove something to a power greater than ourselves has inspired millions of people to do things (both good and evil) that they would have not had the courage/motivation/imagination to accomplish. The defeatist mentality is inspired by "cosmic awe".

Hi, I'm new to YTMND. Maybe someone would like to explain to me why "extreme racism" is an example of something not permitted, but this site--in which the creator's point is to claim that people who don't happen to be Christians will *literally* die painful deaths and then suffer for an indeterminately long time, possibly eternity--is permitted. Unverifiable stories exploit or even mock the fear of dying old men...to do what? Denigrate all other belief systems? This is no better than "extreme racism" at all

I'm sorry I don't agree with your rebuttal about censorship. You state that you are "suppressing" him because he is forcing his ideas but this is still censorship even if he is doing something I would consider sh*tty. Another thing you should make note of is that I think this kind of talk will make people sympathetic towards whet and undermine your original goal. My final point is that censorship is detrimental in a community where creativity should be encouraged! Damnit man

Well, I'm not going to say anything about the laws of thermodynamics etc., but you mention in your ytmnd that the "Primary cause" is something that "sounds alot like god to [you]". I guess what I'm asking is how do you know what god sounds like? Why would you assume that your "Primary cause" is the same thing your bible has described?

Dependance on God is the single most destructive force in the global society. Supposing that there is a God, he will not intervene in your life, and you know damn well why. Objectively, you can see everything as a test from God which you can only pass alone. Because of this, God will never help you out. It would undermine the entirety of existance if God were to make something appear/disappear because in doing so, he would have to intervene in everything that said created/destroyed object interacted with.

kind comment about how you value my life above something else because I

you realise that reading into a sh*tty picture and music clip is a waste of

Whet knows how I feel, But for the Rest of you: Christianity is a religion. Religion is based on belief. If you believe God created everything, then that's gr00vy. I do not belive god created everything, and I don't take kindly to anyone that would try to force me to believe (not a veiled attack). The point I take from this site is "Don't use circular reasoning to say that something is right or wrong."

"Christ came to one region, to one area. A distinctive cultural phenomenon."
Very good point Wolfson. Except that I think that supports our message. Had Christ not risen from the dead and been the source of salvation, there's no way He would have been as influential as He is. He only preached in public for a few short years, in a small area, without much of a following in His time, yet He has become without question the most influential person throughout history. It takes something like rising from the dead to do that.

Well, man kind is doomed one way or another, why not with a bang, or anti-bang as an implosion may be. It's like something you'd read in a Sci-Fi novel, like what happened to Earth in Dan Simmon's Hyperion. Would they bother to do it if their equations aren't exact and *could* create a blackhole that would doom this planet?

Also logic. Humans all like to think they are part of something bigger than themselves. PETA is no different. It gives the illusion they are DOING something. Doing something would be getting a competent, nuetral partied, benevolent person in charge of every country possible.

Interesting, I looked into this through further links and it does seem to be a controversy. I would need more information before drawing any conclusions though. Anyway, it doesn't surprise me that Reagan would do something that stupid.. people should actually look at Reagan's political history to see how much he contradicted himself and how poor his judgement had become towards the end of his life.
