It would be his own personal indiscretion if not for the Adam Walsh Child Protection Act, which I believe Foley himself helped author. It prevents the interstate predation of minors by use of the internet and sets the federal age of a minor as 18. If what he was doing wasn't criminal, he'd probably resign and get on with his life (let's face it - legal or not, what he was doing wasn't going to play with red state voters.)

Nice way to make bullsh*t look intelgent. Take a computer chip for exmaple. As near as I can tell, science is ultimately concerned with uncovering the truth; no matter how unpleasant it may be. Ever since they uncovered some truths that contradicted what religion had to say, science has been on the defensive. The world has suffered for religion's interference. When the superstitious people try to teach children in school that adam and eve is just as valid as evolution in science class, or stand in the way of gay marriage, it makes me mad. Screw 'em.

The thing is, proof's sorta hard to come by. I made it for the Somethingawful forums for a thread I made with a bunch of historical internet pictures like this (another one had the Louisiana Purchase being sold on Ebay, Adam and Eve getting kicked out of God's IRC channel...) but it was an old thread and it's in the archives now, soooo, no one can see it. The only proof I have is the file sitting on my computer. Also, changing vote to 5 cuz I guess you didn't know you were stealing it, so it's cool

Yes lets censor everything we don't like so that we don't have to deal with it. If his point of view is so absurd, you don't have to worry about him "coverting" anyone, and if it's not, then maybe it's a good thing. I'm an adamant agnostic, and although I disagree with Whetstone completely, you're just being an asshat. Censorship won't solve your problems.
