Max, I've been coming to YTMND since they were individual sites with seperate domain names. I personally think the paid users idea is good, but for the love of God don't make it a recurring payment. It's the one thing that stops me from signing up for almost anything. I don't want the extra hassle. One thing you might consider, for paid users, is the ability to choose between the corner image and the ! # system that we all loved so much. (Globally, not just for their sites.) I'd also like to see a loader for those sites that always have "Refresh" in their titles. I have absolutely no idea how you would implement this as I don't know if there are any calls you can make from within the browser to get loading status data but it's a thought. Here's another one I just thought of: Make SURE that people are required to type in their image and sound origins before the site creation system will allow them to submit. That's about all for me.

I like the preview idea and the personal sites alot. I make alot of in-joke YTMNDs that get rated down solely because no one else is going to get the joke. As far as editing however...not so much. It's an annoying ginmmick when people just change the site title to remain in the top 15, but when people give suggestions to improve a site, I'm sure the creator would appreciate the ability to make those changes.

What are the word filters in place? I had a ytmnd with the word "advertisor" in the title which wouldn't show up in the Top 15. It did after I changed it to "Sponsor" on a hunch but soon after it too disapeared from the list. :( http://mcytmnd.ytmnd.com/

max, please implement an option to make our own sites NSFW. I wanted to make it on the ytmnsfw front page and be a ytmnsfw front-page-f*g. Now I'm known as the ytmnD-front-page-f*g/NSFW-evader-guy/son-of-satan-and-bill-gates just for updating a title and some keywords on my only site that should be NSFW. Or something. I hate not knowing site quirks everyone else does.

How come when you title ytmnds, it doesnt support most unicode?

ClassicTMND? How obnoxious. Just plain stupid actually. They even got the phrase "Picture/Sound/Text" wrong. The first guy I saw making one of these has been a member for 1 day. ClassicTMND? YTMND? Korf, you dont need to tell me the difference between the poster of that site and Ebaum. - the difference is kids on that site are acting like Ebaum STOLE from YTMND by posting the same image, which is patently absurd, as is the site in question putting 'original' in its title.

the members of YTMND won't understand. any of the following words in the title or text of the site: OMG, LOL, ROFL, WTF, PWNED, O RLY, OWNED, OMFG, etc. blatant copyright infringement complete lack of creativity, such as straight rips from family guy, the simpsons or any other tv show anime (please, just go to 4chan and get it over with) finding random images on the internet and putting them to dumb random songs Your sites may be deleted

When I tried editing one of my sites, ytmnd called me names because it said another site had the exact same title. But it was talking about the site I was trying to edit. Big mistake Indy!

Excellent sites get 300 views and then disappear while stupid sh*t with a eye-grabbing NSFW title ends up on the Most Viewed List. Sites on the Sponsored list ends up on the Most Voted list regardless of the quality of the sites. Surely there is a better system than this. I realize Max is busy doing the coding...and since he rarely makes ytmnds he could probably use someone else's input who does make sites. Hell even this comments page has reduced a few guys critiquing each other's works.

lol, you got lucky. I was about to comment asking a question on a part I missed and it had a spoiler in it. Also, don't look on recently created too much. You might see a 24 ytmnd with a spoiler. I saw a site and it had one as the title in caps.

Dude I had all these YTMND ideas. The first YTMND I ever tried to create, even before my crappy test site, was a site with the Dr. Mario title screen and the words "He's got the cure." Then I tried some other crap. The only YTMND that ever got through was my test site. Damn, I'd have a million sites by now.

The fact that max still hasn't deleted the site makes this post kinda lame. Since the post is titled "Deception" I kind of wonder if he's just playing a joke on us. LOL YTMND YOU JUS' GOT PUNK'D!

I myself actually wouldn't mind a registration fee. And that would certainly help keep some of the sh*ttiest sites on YTMND from being made. 1) Grab friends picture from myspace 2) Grab gay fuel song 3) Title it _______ loves c*ck. I really can't see 12 year olds paying a fee just to insult their friends.

here's a few random ideas. Delete new sites with less than fifty views after a week. delete sites with different titles but the same content. Clean up the Worthwile section, and make only the new YTMNDs on the home page viewable to non members. Viewing anything else would require a login. I have a feeling that when the mods come out and play and get a few of the abuser's accounts deleted, then alot of junk sites will go away. Just a few random suggestions.

Who else noticed that the title of the front page of YTMND had added a false spoiler (maybe true) for Harry Potter?

I like the part where they say "HARRY POTTER: NOTICE OF COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT ON YTMND.COM", it sounds like it could be the next book title!

I tried thinking of what is related to YTMND that I would get a tattoo of and all I could come up with is the word EPIC across my knuckles and not because of that annoying Nightwish song but because it's the title of a great Faith No More song. But I wouldn't even really consider that since I hide my tattoos. For me a tattoo has to have some meaning and I don't think I could look at some fad character everyday in the mirror and be satisfied.

just struck me, this was something else. he typed in one of my sites into some section on his facebook and to other people it would automatically show up with a title like "A YTMND by prairiedogeric10". I don't use facebook, that's why I'm having a difficult time describing it.

Lack of moderation, dumb cliques, WoW and MySpace-related sites, reluctance on Max's part to appoint more staff, alt. accounts, flawed front page, Digg-whoring, split-voting becoming the norm, new good fads harder to spawn, changes in technology determining engagement with YTMND in general, every good site having a crappy sarcastic counterpart, comment spam, any criticisms downvoted thanks to the comment vote feature, more kids that demand NEDM/300/Poland or anything with '-TMND' in the title...
