I respect the folks that can view this and only see the value in it. Don't get me wrong, I do think it's a good an neccesary study (I just don't care for it.) but NSFW doesn't diminish it's value. It just is NSFW by it's nature. It's ok. A Gif of me playing jump rope with someone's intestines with the cut open body beside the street next to me would be NSFW as well. Being WS is not any kind of indication of value. Saving Private Ryan is a beautiful movie, but it's still rated R. Many great works are NSFW.

I did a google image search to see what food stamps look like because i'm a sheltered white *ssh*le, and the ones I came across looked like monoply money. I dunno, that just seems mean to me. There is a lot of important stuff written on these bathroom walls of the internet. A lot of important memories. Even if someone made a fancier, more modern version of the app, without the database, without the content, you'd lose those memories. You'd lose some crazy fad-lover's magnum opus, ya know?<br /><br />I don't know max that well. I asked him to play D&D with me once and he sounded ambivalent.<br /><br />But I'll tell max on Discord that I'd like to write a social media app in Laravel 10. If he wants he can be in charge of the project. If he's not interested, I'll just make it for the fun of it. And I'll post it to GitHub with the MIT license and anyone can check it out and use what parts they like. But if max lets me know the structure of ytmnd's database, I will base the data models on that structure so hopefully he could just import his database into it. I don't know where max stores his image files and stuff. I'll write the app to store them in AWS S3.<br /><br />There are other content-sharing sites, sure. But I don't know of any that have as many famery-gais and darthwangs. I just want a place for us to have a group to post jokes to.<br /><br />And I will say this, if I make another site, or if max made me boss of ytmnd, I would label things better so there's less uncovered NSFW stuff. max... how about you just make a statement and do yourethemannowdog.ytmnd.com, or whatever that original url was... just submit that, then "remember your fundamentals" and then screencaps of the site with all the lists of sites, or just tons and tons of "classic style" ytmnds that only play one or two loops through. I'm in college and don't have a camcorder or the time (or health, right now), but of course since it's coming from me, i think this is a sweet f*cking idea.

Since you asked I'll give you some quick thoughts on how to improve the mood: create a built in system that punishes "bad" behavior. It doesn't have to be a moderator, in fact, maybe it is best that we keep those features separate. It should definitely be democratically decided what the criteria should be though, or at the very least, it should be decided by max or someone with ytmnd's best interests in mind. A smart, automated filter, if implemented (for sites, comments, account creation) could not be swayed by personal biases and would act as a fail safe in the event that a moderator's integrity has been compromised. This means no more vigilante acts of justice that encourages an alt account arms race. Once users are reverted to the same level playing field, the motivation to troll others will deflate since a large part of it is a power fantasy fulfilled by the distinct advantages of alts. Once users realize that ytmnd is no longer going to deal with their bullshit, everyone will quickly fall in line. And those that don't will be banned. Tell me what you think, and give me ideas on how to elaborate this into something admissible.

Now, just for fun, I'd like to see Umfuld reveal the alts that these users have cheated with. I'm aware that some of these guys have used alts in the past, but some of those names are new to me. Tell me the alts used by Harbltron, eightbitprodigy, FatHistorian, Cliffington88, PoHandle, Locke5, and TheeBatman TO CHEAT. <br /><br />I don't condone any of the alt abuse that some of these others may have done in the past. They learned their lesson when some of their accounts were deleted and they never did it again. You had your core group of alts in 2008 that were later deleted after you were comment-banned. I don't know how much abuse you did with them, but Cumion and Scumion must have been locked and deleted for a reason. You came back and made a whole new army, doing the same thing -- using each and every one of them to vote. Then you just made it obvious by logging into every account to downvote my sites and anyone who openly called you out while shouting to max "I don't care anymore, I'm going to alt-bomb anyone who mentions me in a comment!" So yeah, there's a reason I have fun criticizing you for that shit. You were always playing the imaginary role of YTMND Police, altering your vote so the site receives the overall vote you think it deserves, calling people out for using alts, etc. Yet you turn around and do the same fucking thing. It's like a cop busting some dude for drugs, confiscating it, and turning around to smoke it himself. <br /><br />This is typical Umfuld too, complaining about the things I like. Right now, if I were to go to these users' profiles and 5 at least one of each of their sites, Umfuld would be right behind me to vote 1, with the reason being that my vote "wasn't real." <br /><br />If you want to complain about circle jerking, bitch about every single person who ever voted 5 on a site containing the symbol "#?!"
