lol @ parkinson's tag. I saw the video again today and he can't control himself. He's been in the senate for almost 49 years! He's been in the senate longer then even Strom Thurmond did (although Thrumond was 100 when he retired and Byrd is around his mid 80's.)

I have a lot of respect for Robert Byrd. He's the highest-ranking senator, the oldest and longest-serving senator, and... my reaction to learning about the dogfighting was the same. It's a combination of jokes. I thought this site would go over a little bit better than it has, so let me explain: 1. It's a Senator addressing the House of Representatives instead of the Senate 2. It is somewhat contextual in that he is actually addressing politicians. I thought combining two fads into a context that is actually plausible would be funny, but I was wrong.
