Are you sure you didn't mean to put the Declaration of Independence? 90% Tea baggers don't know the difference between the two. I know these because I’ve gone to tea parties and asked people questions and to no avail for their cause 99% have no clue what their talking about.

Tea baggers are the dumbest of America. The represent the most closed minded mislead microcosm of the intellectual bankrupt conservatives in America.

They protest Obama raising taxes when in fact he has lowered taxes for almost the complete majority of them.

They protest the expansion of government but were silent when Reagan and Bush expanded the government more than any other president since FDR and they even go as far as to demi-god both of these former presidents despite their so called “distrust of government”(Which only applies when a Democrat is in office)

The restriction of 2nd Amendment (Which 99% don‘t understand). Where nothing has happened.

Other than continuing the warrant less NSA domestic spying program where has Obama violated the Constitution? Try reading and its secondary documents as opposed to regurgitating what you are inundated by conservative pundits on television, internet, and am radio.

This is exactly the type of partisan stupidity that is killing any chance of a better future for our country. Would you have made this for George W. too?

I know this will fall on deaf ears because the only thing now days a so called “conservative” holds dearly on to is the opinions and world views given to them by their political puppeteers. Many liberals have the same problem however it is not endemic in liberal communities.

personally (and more abstractly ideologically) i think it comes down to two definitions: that of people and power. if you are seen as less of a person (as in the case of women, minorities, foreigners, rivers, robots, etc), then the material conditions of your existence can be threatened wo compunction. and nothing will be done about it until power is no longer considered in terms of controlling a given limited resource (even intellectual resources) but rather redefined as the ability to bring people together. anyway, lol.

@lego
i am not "most proud" of that dumb star trek site and yes i told a handful of nerd friends about it because that dumb joke is one of those rare ytmnd occurrences where an average, non-ytmnd internet person might understand whats going on. and i happen to have made it. i might also point out that i cannot recall a single other place on the internet where i overzealously posted more contradicting, mocking and mean spirited comments in one place.

but we know you have a problem with subtlety, which is why nearly all of your "intellectual" blocks of text seem like they came from a twenty-three-year-old college "super senior" who just discovered lsd and habitually internalizes flat out incoherence as some pretentious level of high art.

subtle joke: i just viewed one of your 20 weekly sites, and was surprised to notice it was a montage with sound clips thrown together.

Squaresoft failed miserably at life here. What they should've done is bought out the Chrono Resurrection project out and allowed the creators to finish developing it for Windows PCs. Then SS could've had them port it over to the Xbox, Sony Playstation 2 & Nintendo GameCube (or Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3 & Nintendo Wii, depending on development time), and maybe even the Nintendo DS (though the original has been ported to the DX by now) and Sony PSP. Admittedly, SS had intellectual property to protect, but they could have made a ton of money on this game. Killing this 3D version made no sense whatsoever.

WHY KILL IT? BUY IT!!!

Circ, Jesus was a libertarian? I guess that depends what Christian or Christopher Hitchens you ask. Some assert that because of Paul, he was quite authoritarian. Also, one could argue that he was an accomplice to a celestial dictator, or more accurately - threatened that you only need to swear allegiance to him to glean favor from that tyrant in the sky. What kind of sincere libertarian threatens you will eternal hellfire for disobedience?

Also Lego, how can you say that Christianity was a corpse back in the 1950's? That's like saying football is a corpse in Texas. To this very day, most Americans and many Europeans are still Christian. In the 1950's, it was not only bigger percentage-wise, but the beliefs per Christian was much more potent. Atheism was next to unheard of in those days, while atheism, while bigger today only comprises 1 to 2% in 2011. So your statement on Christianity has no factual basis.

That is, unless you meant that Christianity was discredited among intellectuals in the 1950s. I am skeptical of even that. Bertrand Russel might have been an open atheist, but you can probably count noteworthy people who spoke against Christianity in those days who were not communist with one hand.

Also, you claimed that the philosophical community said that she was logically unsound. However, you did not provide their line of reasoning. Sorry. I need some evidence. I do not accept Argumentum ad verecundiam type answers.

So basically, your defense is that in order for something to be racist, it has to be negative and/or hateful and/or ridiculing. Can't racism just result from plain ignorance? I do see what you mean about there being a difference between racism and racial stereotyping, but that doesn't change much for me. I don't find either to be very acceptable on its own.

You have to make the very topic of racism the joke, not the actual content of racism. I thought your site about Asian baseball players was a fantastic demonstration of this. It played on a seemingly American stereotyping of Asians in such a way that the stereotyping perspective was the joke rather than Asians. In this site, I don't really see that.

I think a better argument would be that you were contrasting the elements of the well-spoken, intellectual girl from Bill Nye with the crude stereotyping from long ago. Perhaps you could convince us that this was somehow satirical, that it actually had a point. Otherwise, it's just an out-of-the-way punchline that can only be funny because of just how out of the way it is. I suppose that's fine, but I'm sure there's plenty of other options you could have taken to get that effect.

In and of itself, your argument is correct. However, your analogies are not so good. Teenyboppers like Justin Bieber. Kids like Garfield. Complete losers like meth. Mostly adults and some teens like Ayn Rand's books. A great many of them are successful and intelligent.

To top it off, they have to get beyond a great deal of peer pressure as well as snobs from the intellectual class telling them that they are bad people or that Rand was a bad person or some other stupid bullshit. Want to know why intellectuals hate Rand? Because she essentially exposes the great fraud they have upon society, that society does not need them to push them around. Society can benefit from suggestions, but not government bullying.

And that's just secular intellectuals. The religious jerks, for obvious reasons hate her too. Baloney always fears the slicer.

No, that's not what I meant. I was referring to your comment on my reasoning only.

I am unaware of why you think of her writing as mediocre. Might it be related to any ideological disagreements? Have you read any of her books?

Are you talking about collecting social security and/or medicare? She paid into the system through taxes. It is only fair that one gets the money they put in back, especially since it was forcibly taken in the first place.

Smoking was not one of her wiser decisions.

I am not actually an anti-intellectual. Neither was she. What I am against is the elite western intellectual culture. The kind that worships power and hates the common man, desiring domination over him/her. I suggest you read up on Noam Chomsky, who had similar arguments.

The concept of Galt's Gulch may seem radical to you, but America was founded on people who rejected their old countries to come to this one. One could argue that America was made by millions of John Galts.

It projects an insidiously building angst you continue to nurse with every comment reply. What I mean is, throwing in some lighter, familiar fad references will render your obsessive mania far less obvious to those who can see it and understand it. Alas, considering most ytmnders score below 90 on IQ testing, I doubt you really need to worry about alarming anyone succumbing to the very real fear you are causing for several of us.
At this point of no return, or "event horizon," please, for the good of the community and (most importantly) out of respect for Max, please just be concerned with contributing humorous content to a website riddled with prejudice, racism, sexism, homophobia and every form of hatred and intolerance, whether in the form of political discourse or personal feuds.

Remember when pde10 made that little cartoon movie about gr33nscr33n entering pde10's workplace, resulting in pde10 murdering gr33nscr33n with a handgun?
