E) So he's making money of advertising other peoples stuff on his site. Very illegal. YTMND.com on the other hand doesn't really break the law. Some materials/items are copywrited but almost everything on the site is created with the intention of original idea and something called an artistic license. Nothing illegal here. Another point: each site is created by individual users, not max, who is technically not responsible for individual sites. Just the main site, the forums, and his own sites he's made. Another good point is he isn't reaping in countless ammounts of money from advertising items he's not claiming as his own. This is why YTMND is legal. In the case of 7 Flags suing YTMND copywrighted material was indeed involved, but guess what. Max took it down, thus avoiding any legal trouble. Ebaum on the other hand refuses to do this even after legal threats. I don't know why, mabey it's not worth the money to the suing corporations or they aren't taking any publicity damage?

Now one of these days, Ebaum is going to steal from the wrong site, they're gonna sue him for a insanely large ammount and shut him down. If the FBI/FCC don't catch him first. They're beginning to take intellectual property (the ideas and original thought of the others) seriously and it's only a matter of time before the law catches up with him. Alternatively, a class-action lawsuit by all those who have had material/property stolen from them could also shut down Ebaums, especially if they want to try to get him to repay by charging daily use in the past for items used starting from the date in which the original request to remove was started OR if the artist was only recently alerted since the time it was posted. So before anymore of you Ebaum fanboys attempt to drop the lame "he only hosts" crap you now have officially been out argued by someone who can string more than swear words and other low level vocabulary by a man who can actually process large words.

To sum it up (with Caps for those who have a very short attention span): EBAUMS ILLEGAL, YTMND PERFECTLY LEGAL WITHIN CERTAIN BOUNDRIES, Ebaum users have just been pwned in a legal argument. Good day, you lose sirs! BTW - To YTMND Guys and max, sorry about the long posts in the comments, I figured mabey this would help enlighten the Ebaum mob, but then again you can't teach Ogres new tricks. Long live King MAX!

Wrong. It's more like frustration. I had at least hoped that YTMND would prove itself better by example, not by drawing continual attention to eBaums. By all means, fight and win this war. It boggles my mind, however, when the front page is literally all about eBaums (ok so maybe there are a FEW exceptions). I guess, however, I underestimated the amount of hate this community has towards that place. I'm with y'all on that, but let's return to normal. Or at least what qualifies as normal around here. :P

In the vast history of the Internet, Ebaums is just another senile hiccup. Don't waste your time with them. Heed Max. Enjoy YTMND and gloat over these pathetic thieves. We have the goods. Let Ebaums putrify in their own waste products. The fact that they steal from us shows their utter moral and intellectual poverty. They'll end up in the same place as the Pets.com sock puppet! Okay well I just registered here and have some things to say. 1-Ytmnd is NOT the first people to ever to try to take on 2-Ebaums has always had a history of stealing work and its not going to end until they finally go down. 3-For the most part, YTMND's take little or no work. You get an audio file, you plug it in and a picture and it does all the hard work for you. This site is made for people who do not know how to use FLASH. 4-YTMND should get very little credit for this "war." This situation has always been brewing more or less and YTMND was nothing but the breaking point when the INTERNET (not just YTMND) finally had it.

Other than lagging his forums a bit what did this do? I'll tell you what.... eBaum gets money for every pop and advertising banner that gets loaded onto your PC.... imagine what the insane amount of traffic did for him? No ones going to care about forums running slow (he has mods to deal with it any how) if he's raking it in....

Well, I suggest that we all run back to my back yard, get out some lawn chairs, start a bon-fire and start laughing our heads off about how we did it over some beer. We can laugh and drink and tell stories until we fall asleep or passout. Sure, the next day eBaum's users will come by and try to talk some sh*t, but then we'll just offer them a beer and fire up the grill. It's like what you do after you get everyone together to fork the lawn that *sshole down the street. You don't hold no malice toward him, he learned his lesson and you move on, occasionally bringing it up in community functions, and everyone has a laugh, even that *sshole who says something similar to "and man was it a bitch to get all those out the next morning". Oh, and btw, that was pretty funny guys.

The Ebaum fad is over but the rivalry will continue.

I couldn't agree more. It was old the first night, at this point it's just killing ytmnd.com. If I wanted to see pictures of Ebaum's forum, I'd go to Ebaum's forum.

Enigma,I think you are missing the point. Its not that EBAUMS steals stuff,its that he does not give any credit to anyone.On YTMND,you are "required" to cite your source.It even says it in the TOS. Most people don't cite the source, but theres an option to do so whereeas ebaums has no opportunity to give credit.
