i nkow i'm a little late on the "tehpwner2" barrage, but like honestly. He 1'ed a good site that most people 5'd, i think it was "spy on your friends" or something. WEll anyways he says "not top 5 material" so he 1's it. Now with that said, woudl he have oned it if it had a score of like 3 and not popular? i don't think so. Would he say "kiron = auto 1) on all my sites after i called him out for it? i don't think so. You say you vote everything fairly and crap, but the fact of the matter is, your a grudge holder and if anyone pisses you off in the slightest you go on a downvote rampage. 1 all my sites if you want, but to 1 truely great sites like "willy wonka's acid trip" is just plain stupid, how can you justify a 1 rating....

I guess we could use some "historians" To help is recount all the events and specifics, so we can get this as historically accurate as possible. BTW im co-writing with tommyinphinity. just send to that email if you want

Although the Flash thing is a pretty good idea, but I don't want the mp3 or wav to be converted into an swf. Make an swf that loads the sound file (and make the option to place a direct link to the sound file on the site page). I believe it's possible to externally load a sound file via an swf and use a preloader. And to those who didn't understand, YTMND will not become a flash portal.

I like the idea of a cutoff - if, after say, a week, a site has not obtained a score above 2, views above 100, or votes above 10... blam! I'm against Flash. This site is good for the simple text/image/sound engine. Newgrounds is for Flash. If you want to preload stuff so it syncs, write some javascript precache stuff. Avoid Flash. Paid accounts sound really good. I'm not so keen on this moderation idea, I prefer the current NWS/WS for all method with a cutoff method. Weighted voting? All for it. Allows users to keep upvoting and downvoting, but at a cost to their vote power. We don't want silliness like Newground's "levels" though. Site # ! template should only be adustible for paid users.

i have a rather interesting suggestion: what if you put certain sounds (from popular fads) in a spot on the server, so all of the fads that want to use that sound could use it. that way, it would take up much less space on the server. people would also be able to use their own sounds, just as it is now, but if you wanted the "emo" sound, or the "price is right" sound, you could just use the same file. since a lot of fads use the same sounds, i think this would save tons of space on the servers. just a thought.

I'm 100% sure that the winning "ytmnd", if that is what you want to call it, will be Halo themed or Grand Theft Auto themed. I cant see it being original.

Too bad I haven't watched G4 since they got rid of Portal...unless my friend wanted to watch it...

Just want to say that I took a look at the hall of fame, and realized that anything that gets in top 15 for more than a week automatically gets inducted into the hall of fame. I just think this should stop. Only fads that last at least a month starting ytmnds should go in there. Thank You.

I just want to take the opportunity as a long time viewer and a newer member to say that I personally love this site, it gets my number 1 on all of the internet.

I just read that article. They failed to report on the biggest internet copywriting battle in recent memory: Eric Baumen vs. Pretty much everyone else on the internet. Even if Wall Street Journal wants to take a pro-Baumen stance they should at least mention it. It seems like everything I read online about Eric is negative but everything the media reports about him is positive. Although now that he has his own television program it might be slightly more inconvient for him to blatently steal from us. I hope.

inky inky inky.... hold on now. thats not what i told you. i said i was withholding my entries because i dont want to put up with backlash from others. when it was AOTS people would be boosters because its just TV, but this is something people want apparently, and i was already getting pre 'revenged' by many people.

if you want one of the younger ytmnd users to win this instead of a user who can afford a PSP if they wanted one, i understand. but the reason i removed my entry is anything but selfless.

I want to join, but my only YTMND can't be found through any search... it's even game-related! I brought it up to Max a while ago and he couldn't really help me. =/ Oh well.
