Final Fantasy is a fantasy anthology media franchise created by Hironobu Sakaguchi which is owned, developed, and published by Square Enix (formerly Square). The franchise centers on a series of fantasy role-playing video games. The first game in the series was released in 1987, with 16 numbered main entries having been released to date. The series is well known for its innovation, visuals, such as the inclusion of full-motion videos and photorealistic character models, and music by Nobuo Uematsu. It has popularized many features now common in role-playing games, also popularizing the genre as a whole in markets outside Japan.

Crown Princess Koriand'r (born c. 1991, year 9481 on Tamaran), anglicized as Kory Anders and codenamed Starfire, is an extraterrestrial warrior crown princess from the far-off planet Tamaran, the firstborn daughter of King Myand'r and Queen Luand'r, and the elder sister of Komand'r/Blackfire. Kory later reconciled with Blackfire after the Titans visit to Gotham following the death of Jason Todd and subsequent battles against his Red Hood persona and alliance with Scarecrow. Kory sought to understand her new powers and the truth of her destiny; as prophesized by her people her entire life and how the red moon, Brother Blood, and visions of a little girl with a red balloon play into it. After accepting her destiny, Kory's power transformed and she was able to destroy Brother Blood. After returning to San Francisco, Kory began a relationship with Dick Grayson, and the two prepared for a future together as the Titans disbanded.
