?(nsfw) Elinore - Ralph Bakshi's Wizards | Skanda | (3.00) | 187 | 2025-01-30 |
description:
Elinore is one of the main protagonists of Ralph Bakshi's Wizards.
She was voiced by Jesse Welles, who also voiced Eva in Hey Good Lookin'.
She is seen in the beginning of the movie when Avatar becomes a tutor tasked to trained her to become a full-fledged fairy. Suddenly, her father, the president, is assassinated by Necron 99, a robot sent by Blackwolf to kill believers in magic. Elinore flies into a rage at the death of her father, and Avatar confronts the robot and battles it using telepathy. Necron 99 loses the desire for war and Avatar changes the robot's name to Peace. Avatar learns from the robot that the "dream machine" – the projector – is Blackwolf's secret weapon, inspiring his armies with images of ancient warfare. Avatar, Elinore, Peace, and the elf spy Weehawk set out to destroy the projector and save the world from another Holocaust.
In a forest inhabited by fairies, Peace has an intuition that something is amiss shortly before the group is accosted by the leader of the fairies, Sean. Weehawk realizes that Peace is missing, when an unseen assassin kills Sean and kidnaps Elinore. Avatar and Weehawk begin to search for Elinore in the forbidden Fairy Sanctuary, but Weehawk falls into a chasm and insists that Avatar leaves him and finds the girl. Weehawk is rescued from a giant poison gas-breathing mutant insect by Peace, who shoots it dead after dealing with his assassin comrades. As Weehawk rests, exhausted from the battle, Avatar locates Elinore, who has been captured by fairies and small human-like creatures, and is about to be killed.
Avatar attempts to explain that they did not kill Sean, but the fairies don't believe him, and shoot him with an arrow. Wounded in the shoulder, Avatar refuses to fight back, which impresses the fairy king. Instead of executing them, he merely teleports Avatar and Elinore to a snowy mountaintop. Avatar and Elinore resume their journey despite the poor conditions, but they soon realize they are wandering in circles. Weehawk and Peace finally find them and together they find their way out of the mountains.
Soon Avatar and the others encounter the encamped army of an elf General who is preparing to attack Scortch the following day, but Blackwolf launches a sneak attack that night. Elinore is outside with Peace when one of Blackwolf's mutants sneaks into camp and attacks her, but Avatar is able to stop it before it hurts her. Things turn for the worse, though, as a battle tank arrives to destroy the camp. Peace manages to disable the crew, but as he inspects the vehicle, Elinore kills him with a sword and climbs into the tank. It drives away as Avatar and Weehawk watch in confusion.
The next day, Avatar and Weehawk enter Scortch by ship and make for Blackwolf's castle while the General leads his elf warriors in a bloody battle to distract Blackwolf's forces. The pair splits up, Weehawk tracking Elinore while Avatar goes after his brother Blackwolf. Weehawk nearly kills Elinore, but she explains that Blackwolf has been controlling her mind ever since she first touched Peace. Blackwolf declares his magic superior to Avatar's and demands his surrender. Avatar admits that he hasn't practiced magic in some time, and offers to show Blackwolf one last trick that their mother showed him when Blackwolf wasn't around; he then pulls a gun and fatally shoots Blackwolf. With the loss of their leader, the mutants give up fighting. With Montagar's safety secured, Weehawk returns home, but Avatar and Elinore decide to go start their own kingdom instead.

Quintessa is a mysterious and powerful space sorceress and one of the two main antagonists (alongside Megatron) of Transformers: The Last Knight. In the Generation 1 continuity family, Quintessa was the home planet of the Quintesson species.
Quintessa has similarities with Quintus Prime, the creator of the Quintesson race from the Aligned continuity family.
*The Knights of Iacon address Quintessa as "The Great Deceiver", implying she lies about being the Prime of Life.

?Barricade (A.K.A. N.B.E. 04) - Transformers: The... | Skanda | (1.00) | 144 | 2025-01-25 |
description:
Having survived the injuries he sustained in the Chicago war and avoided being hunted down by the humans in the years since, Barricade had been rebuilt into a sleeker new form. In the seven years since the Chicago conflict, he had acted as Megatron's spy and scout in his search for the Guardian Knights' talisman. Perhaps unknown to Barricade, he had long been under surveillance by the U.S. government. In the ruins of Chicago, he witnessed the talisman being bestowed to Cade Yeager by one of the Knights. He was however unable to claim it due to arrival of the heavily armed TRF, and he watched from a distance as they entered a stand off with Yeager and the Autobots.
Barricade reported back to Megatron, accidentally angering his leader by flashing his light in his face. He reported the events of his mission, and Megatron was further angered by his failure to retrieve the Talisman, which was needed to find the Staff they required. Barricade managed to salvage the situation, indicating he knew who could lead them to the Staff: the TRF themselves. Unknown to either Decepticon, their conversation was being monitored by William Lennox and General Morshower. Based on Barricade's plan, Megatron used human hostages as leverage to broker a deal with TRF and secured the release of fellow Decepticons Mohawk, Dreadbot, Nitro Zeus, and Onslaught.
Barricade later joined his leader and cohorts in their hunt for Yeager. They arrived at Yeager's scrap yard but Yeager had already fled to a nearby town and they followed. They were met with some not-quite-unexpected resistance in the form of the Autobots Bumblebee, Drift, and Crosshairs and blasted by a trap set by Yeager. Barricade took point in pursuing Yeager through the town. Barricade ordered Yeager and Izabella to freeze, but was surprised and swiped through a wall by the newly arrived Grimlock's tail. Luckily for Barricade, Grimlock was then focused on attacking Megatron and crunching on Dreadbot. After Dreadbot and Onslaught perished in battle, Barricade fled when Megatron gave the order to retreat.
He and his comrades then followed Yeager to England, knowing he was the key to finding the Staff. In London, he chased down the fleeing Bumblebee, who had Yeager and Viviane Wembly with him. He attempted to ram them but was blasted away by his Autobot nemesis. He transformed to catch himself but fell into oncoming traffic and was rammed by a large truck. Commenting on how much it hurt, he had been hit hard enough that he was too weak to continue the pursuit.
He later rendezvoused with Megatron and Nitro at Stonehenge, the site which would drain Unicron, who lay deep within the Earth, of his energy and revive the recently arrived Cybertron. He happily gloated that he had lived to kill a planet and commented on the ease with which they could kill Unicron. They soon came under attack from the British Armed Forces and Barricade returned fire.

?Qandeel Baloch | Skanda | (1.00) | 135 | 2025-01-19 |
description:
Qandeel was born on 1 March, 1990 in Shah Sadar Din, a town in the Dera Ghazi Khan District, of the southern part of the Punjab province of Pakistan, into a Saraiki-speaking, ethnic Baloch family.
She came from an underprivileged family, the daughter of Anwar Bibi and Muhammad Azeem, who scratched a living from local farming. She had six brothers and two sisters. Growing up, she was interested in her studies, as well as acting and singing. Before her rise to fame, her first job was as a bus hostess.
On 15 July 2016, Baloch was drugged and then asphyxiated by her brother M. Waseem while she was asleep at her parents' home in Multan. Her death was reported by her father Azeem.
Baloch's death has drawn mixed reactions from different sections of society in Pakistan. Some called her death an honour killing, and some think that the motive was money. An episode in the A-Plus Entertainment series Yeh Junoon was partially based on her life. The series starred Zhalay Sarhadi and Shamoon Abbasi in lead roles.
On 27 July 2017, Urdu1 started to air a 28-episode biopic television drama titled Baaghi based on Qandeel's life, where Saba Qamar plays her character. The first episode amassed more than 4 million views on YouTube, and the series went on to become a major critical and commercial success.
In 2016, MangoBaaz reported that Qandeel Baloch was the most Googled person in Pakistan in 2016.
In March 2017, the British-Pakistani-Indian-American hip hop group Swet Shop Boys dedicated the track Aaja from their latest album to the memory of Qandeel Baloch. Recorded samples of her voice from her social media content is also used towards the end of the track.
In June 2017, a documentary film Undercover Asia S4: In The Name Of Honour premiered on Channel NewsAsia. Produced by Make Productions, it tells how Baloch's bold and sexual videos challenged convention and shocked a nation which later led to fatal consequences.
The 2023 film Wakhri is loosely based on Baloch’s case.

?Doja Cat - Streets (Live Performance) Vevo LIFT | Skanda | (1.00) | 202 | 2025-01-18 |
description:
Welcome to the world of Doja Cat. Born and raised in L.A., the 24-year-old self-taught singer-rapper is a vet of sorts. The arts were central to her upbringing, and she started sharing her music on Soundcloud back in 2013. A year later she dropped her much-buzzed-about ‘Purrr!’ EP. Ever since, she’s nurtured an ever-growing array of feverish fans who revere her for combining a radiant charisma with unique flow and tongue-in-cheek lyrics (see: the irresistible“MOOO!”). Seems like Doja has designed her version of alt-R&B to take off in any direction she chooses. Tours with Lizzo and Theophilius London led right into 2018’s impressive ‘Amala,’ her debut proper, followed by last year’s ‘Hot Pink.’ That album’s “Say So” is currently clocking big numbers. Arresting visuals help. Her videos for both her radio juggernaut and "Rules" are wildly fun. When the Vevo production team united with the feline phenom to figure out performance ideas, the creative juices were flowing. The goal? Put the “cat” in Doja Cat - a decision that resulted in what’s probably our most ambitious studio build to date for a LIFT performance. For her “Streets” performance, we built Doja a massive bowl of 2%, where she was clearly in her element. And if that isn’t peak, then the human-sized scratching house is. Dressed in full cat-ear regalia, she pawed her way through the two-story structure, purring the lyrics to her R&B throwback jam “Say So.”

?Billie Eilish - Met Gala 2022 | Skanda | (3.00) | 152 | 2024-12-28 |
description:
It was Billie Eilish’s second time on the Met Gala red carpet, but she made sure her sequel look was just as much a standout as the first. Putting her own spin on the gilded glamour dress code, the superstar opted for a regal Gucci look by Alessandro Michele that was made entirely with upcycled materials.
Eilish wore a custom Gucci ivory and duchesse satin corseted gown, complete with a green lace underlay and gathered ivory skirt—and a padded bustle, of course. For Eilish, it was important for her look to be sustainable this year. “I just wanted to be as eco-friendly as possible,” Eilish said during the Vogue livestream. The look was filled with whimsical detailing, too. The train featured a cascading floral arrangement, and on the bust was a tonal corsage. She completed her look with a black choker with scalloped embroidery, and beige platform shoes made from vegan materials.
Eilish is no stranger to bringing a strong silhouette to the Met Gala. Last year, she channeled Old Hollywood glamour—and Marilyn Monroe!—in a peachy Oscar de la Renta gown, which was complete with a long, sweeping train that commanded the paparazzi. But her thoughtful approach to eco fashion this evening, which still fell in line with the theme, secured her yet another Met Gala win.

?The Powerpuff Girls - TV Show (1998–200... | Skanda | (2.67) | 157 | 2024-12-24 |
description:
The Powerpuff Girls is an American superhero animated television series created by animator Craig McCracken and produced by Hanna-Barbera (later Cartoon Network Studios) for Cartoon Network. The show centers on Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, three kindergarten-aged girls with superpowers. They live in the fictional city of Townsville with their father and creator, a scientist named Professor Utonium, and are frequently called upon by the city's mayor to help fight nearby criminals and other enemies using their powers.
While attending his second year at CalArts in 1992, McCracken created a short film, Whoopass Stew!, about a trio of child superheroes known as the Whoopass Girls, which was only shown at festivals. Following the name change to The Powerpuff Girls, McCracken submitted his student film to Cartoon Network, who aired the series' refined pilot, "Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins", in its animation showcase program World Premiere Toons on February 20, 1995, along with its follow-up, "Crime 101", on January 28, 1996. Network executives gave McCracken the greenlight for a full series, which debuted as a Cartoon Cartoon on November 18, 1998.
The Powerpuff Girls aired on Cartoon Network for six seasons, three specials, and a feature film, with the final episode airing on March 25, 2005. A total of 78 episodes were produced, in addition to the two pilots, a Christmas special, the film, a tenth anniversary special, and a special episode in computer animation. Various spin-off media include an anime, three CD soundtracks, a home video collection, comic books, a series of video games, a 2016 reboot series, and an upcoming reboot series, as well as various licensed merchandise. The series has been nominated for six Emmy Awards, nine Annie Awards, and a Kids' Choice Award during its run.

However, he looked well and his cell was clean. CNN has denied staging the report and has defended Ward. description:
Rachel Brosnahan has continued the tradition of naked dresses at the Met Gala.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress walked the carpet in an eye-catching, gothic look by Sergio Hudson comprised of a long-sleeved top made of sheer black mesh, attached built-in gloves, and a low-rise column skirt. The gown included two strategically-placed sequin adornments on the chest, as well as scattered sequins along the midsection and sleeves.
The actress added a trailing black coat with silver lining, which she wore draped over her shoulders. Her accessories included an array of rings and custom gold and diamond ear climbers by Simon G. She continued the dramatic aesthetic with her beauty look, wearing her hair slicked back into a ponytail, paired with black eyeliner.
This is Brosnahan's third appearance at the Met Gala, after attending 2019's camp-themed festivities and last year's event. For the 2022 party, she embraced the "gilded glamour" theme in a sparkling gown covered in gold circular sequins, which featured a plunging neckline, and a cutout at the waist covered in crisscross straps.

The Grand High Witch of All the World, also known as Eva Ernst and Lilith, is a fictional character and the main antagonist in the 1983 children's dark fantasy novel The Witches by Roald Dahl, as well as the graphic novel and the two film adaptations, in which she was played by Anjelica Huston (in 1990). In the narrative, it is a title given to the all-powerful leader of all the witches on Earth. Huston also voices her rat form.
The Witches is a 1990 dark comedy film directed by Nicolas Roeg from a screenplay by Allan Scott, based on the 1983 novel of the same name by Roald Dahl. The film stars Anjelica Huston and Mai Zetterling. The plot features evil witches who masquerade as ordinary women and follows a boy and his grandmother, who must find a way to foil their plans of turning children into mice.
The Witches was the last film project executive producer Jim Henson worked on before his death, with Jim Henson Productions co-producing the film and Jim Henson's Creature Shop designing and building the prosthetics for the witches and animatronic rats and mice that were used interchangeably with real mice.
The Witches was released in the United Kingdom on May 25, 1990. In Orlando, Florida, and Sacramento, California, on February 16, 1990, and in the United States on August 24, by Warner Bros. Although Dahl disliked the film and criticized the ending, which differed from the source material, The Witches received positive reviews from critics and developed a cult following over the years.

Tom Warburton, who later created Cartoon Network's Codename: Kids Next Door, served as the lead character designer for the series.
Pepper Ann is the daughter of Lydia Pearson (nee Lilly) and Chuck Pearson. She comes from an interfaith family: Chuck is a Christian while Lydia is Jewish, with Pepper Ann celebrating both Christmas and Hanukkah during the holiday season.
Her younger sister is Margaret Rose "Moose" Pearson, and her aunt is Janie Diggety. Her maternal grandparents, Grandpa Leo and Grandma Lillian, appear frequently throughout the series, while her paternal grandmother, Grammie Pearson, only appears in "A Kosher Christmas". Her family history is discovered in the episode "Dances with Ignorance", where she learns one of her great-great grandmothers was Navajo Indian, making herself 1/16th Navajo Indian.
