The Grand High Witch of All the World, also known as Eva Ernst and Lilith, is a fictional character and the main antagonist in the 1983 children's dark fantasy novel The Witches by Roald Dahl, as well as the graphic novel and the two film adaptations, in which she was played by Anjelica Huston (in 1990). In the narrative, it is a title given to the all-powerful leader of all the witches on Earth. Huston also voices her rat form. The Witches is a 1990 dark comedy film directed by Nicolas Roeg from a screenplay by Allan Scott, based on the 1983 novel of the same name by Roald Dahl. The film stars Anjelica Huston and Mai Zetterling. The plot features evil witches who masquerade as ordinary women and follows a boy and his grandmother, who must find a way to foil their plans of turning children into mice. The Witches was the last film project executive producer Jim Henson worked on before his death, with Jim Henson Productions co-producing the film and Jim Henson's Creature Shop designing and building the prosthetics for the witches and animatronic rats and mice that were used interchangeably with real mice. The Witches was released in the United Kingdom on May 25, 1990. In Orlando, Florida, and Sacramento, California, on February 16, 1990, and in the United States on August 24, by Warner Bros. Although Dahl disliked the film and criticized the ending, which differed from the source material, The Witches received positive reviews from critics and developed a cult following over the years.

Diva Plavalaguna is a famous and revered operatic performer in the film's universe. Turning to one of her companions and communicating quietly, she sends the companion to tell Leeloo that she is happy she is here and she will give her what she came for. The Diva is next seen in the opera hall, giving what turned out to be her final performance. She sings a slow, melancholy melody at first, that suddenly becomes more upbeat and impressive as she delivers talent that evokes a standing ovation from the crowd. Later, the Diva is shot through the abdomen while still on stage by invading Mangalores. She falls, with Korben reaching to her and pulling her down to the floor behind the seats. Encouraging her to stay awake, he implores her to tell him where the stones are. She tells him about Leeloo's strength, and that she is more fragile than she appears, requiring both his love and support to complete her mission. She informs him with her dying breath that the stones were "...in me." Korben deciphers this to mean that the stones were literally being housed inside her, being able to access them by reaching through the bullet hole in her abdomen and pulling them out. Sherri Martel was one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of all time, she excelled in a managerial role as well.
