“Everybody is a book of blood; wherever we’re opened, we’re red.”
My limbs are weak and my heart is tired, A painful death I cannot deny. It comes so soon, I have no more breath, My time to die, I cannot defy. My last glimpse of life was quite unfair, I cannot find answer through my pain. My sight is blurred as I lay there, I feel the chill of death, again and again. The pain was great, deep and profound, My memories and dreams lost in dying. The numbness of my soul, no sound, My life slipping away, I'm still trying. Please take away all this misery, Hold me tight and be true. These are my last dying wishes, Before I pass through the dark blue.
