It's a 3D cube with distortion. Only a gigantic moron would ever believe squishing a GIF is some sort of time paradox or something

It's seems to be squishing because we are unable to perceive the fourth dimension. It is sort of like sending a 3D object through a plane; if seen only in 2D, the object will appear to change its size and shape.

very nice. I had seen only a single computer-rendered image of the shadow of a hypercube before, but hadn't seen anything showing multiple cross-sections of it moving in 3 dimensions.
