your posts made me laugh. first of all, the kunta kinte = rap thing was a JOKE. just words, like n*gg* stole my bike. I'm fully aware of the Roots reference (your name is TOBY) famous scene. 2nd of all, Goldfinger is good, not my favorite band. that would be a wash between Bad Religion, Anti-Flag, Minor Threat and RATM. 3rd of all, MTV bands like Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and My Chemical Romance are a scourge upon this earth. i'm IN a punk rock band, and we insult MTV/generic bands all the time.
also, goldfinger never sings about being dumped and/or crying over his last girlfriend. that's for gay ƒucks like the All-American Rejects. goldfinger sings about girls, yeah, but they also do songs about getting smashed, and protest the gayness of war and MTV. Fall Out Boy and the AAR are emo. Goldfinger sings about girls, and they're ska-punk. I bet you don't even know what ska is. pick up some reel big fish, might mighy bosstones, etc. punk is the bands i mentioned, and adolescents, reagan youth, TSOL...
