Not only are they the same note, but there's no possible way the confusion could occur. The note has a fricking sharp sign next to it.
It seems to be in bass clef. If not,
she's horribly off- that would be an F#/ Gb in treble clef.
P.S. the previous measure has 2.5 counts. And I can't quite tell how many the one with the A# has, but it looks like 5.5 or something. What freaking time signature is this thing in?

A# = Bb in tone, of course, but using one or the other can do a lot to define what key the peice is in, considering a key is determined by the pattern of whole steps and half steps, and changing a note just by a half step can alter the rest of the scale. So it matters in writing, but then again, I'm not sure if they really had all that theory in mind when they scripted this, so whatever.
