It was a show that came out in the 60s-70s, made in England. They just recently remade the series on the BBC with a ton of tongue in cheek refferances to the old series. It's half comedy, half entertainment. Even in the origenal series they kept rewritting the show's history over and over and over again. It's a bit like fluff. I guess you have to be a fan. =P
