I may hate him, but I don't hate him as much as I would the average Republican because he knew my grandmother back in the day...way back in the day. When he was in his 20's, he was involved in the local politics that were going on in my grandmother's town in Illinois (I think, can't really remember). Anyway, he was a part of her social circles, always coming by to push some sort of political agenda or campaign, so he got to be known by my grandmother and her friends as "Little Donnie Rumsfield,"
and hence the name stuck as its been passed down from generation to generation. Even now when I'm in class, I'll still refer to him as "Little Donnie Rumsfield," which is usually accompianed (sp?) by all sorts of strange looks. Perhaps I'll make a YTMND about it once the flood of "Rumsfield Resigned LOLOLOL" sites reside?
